2025 Spring Super Stack – Event #12: $340 NLH

Event #12 is now complete after David Phum and Brian Cote decided to cut a deal. They each took $3,200 and then played it out for the remaining $682. Brian Cote won the final hand with a pair of sevens to take the win worth $3,882 while Phum pocketed $3,200 for 2nd.

It’s heads up now after Antoine Saddleback hit the rail for third. David Phum raised to 35k pro, and it was a family pot after everyone called. The flop was 9♥4♠A♦ and after a check from Brian Cote, Saddleback shoved for 79k. Phum called before Cote mucked.

It was a wild call as Phum was on J♠9♠ for second pair and he held when the runout came A♠8♣.

David Phum has been looking for almost anything to get his money in with, and he finally woke up with K♥Q♣ in the big blind after Antoine Saddleback shoved the small with a covering stack.

Saddleback was dominated on K♦5♦. Phum flopped a heart draw, then turned the king on a board of 4♥7♥3♥K♠9♣, but he still had to fade the gutshot for Saddleback to stay alive.

They are down to three left now in the side game. Fizz Sumar was the bubble tonight, though they made a bubble deal, so he got his buy-in plus some pocket change back. He got his remaining chips in with ace-queen of hearts, but Brian Cote, who has busted everyone at the table up to Sumar, called with ducks and held.

Shortly after, Clayton Gaylor got his money in good against Antoine Saddleback. Saddleback was on jacks versus queens for Gaylor, and Gaylor flopped a set of queens, but the jacks ran out to a king-high straight to send him to the rail for the first official payout tonight.

Brian Cote is leading the way at the final table of the side game tonight. He’s playing just shy of 200k — see below for the rest of the stacks at the final table.

The side game is down to the ten-handed final table now, with 4 players expected to get paid tonight. The winner will get $4,488 and the rest of the prizes are under the Payouts tab.

The official numbers are in for the side game and the field ended with 35 entries. That means 4 players will get a piece of the almost $10k in prizes later tonight. There are still 15 players remaining, with the average stack at about 28 big blinds.

The final break of registration is now underway in the side game with the field 2 entries shy of $10k in prizes.

The side field is now up to 27 entries for prizes of $7,695. There are about five minutes to play in Level 7 and entries are set to close at the start of Level 10, which should be about an hour from this post.

The side game is underway with play in Level 3, and 18 players in their seats. Entries are still open for about 2.5 hours on this one, so a final field of 60-80 seems like a good bet at this point.

The side game on Wednesday evening is the $340 NLH. Players sit down with 25k in chips for 20-minute levels throughout the event.

Late entries are open for about 3.5 hours, with the desk set to close at the start of Level 10, around 9:30 pm. From there, they will play down to a winner before the end of the night.

I’ll do my best to watch and post the numbers in this one, but I likely won’t get much actual hand coverage in until after Day 1b of Event #10 bags up.
