With his elimination of Hugo Cardeira, Alexey Neofitov is now crowned the champion of the €500 Main Event during the 2026 PartyPoker Tour Madrid. For his achievement, he wins €43,250, the coveted Trophy, and the prestigious title.
Neofitov bulldozed his way to the title; the final table in particular was quite the one-man show. Tomorrow, there will be a full recap of the Main Event uploaded on poker.pro. That being said, Neofitov’s win wraps up the live coverage from the 2026 PartyPoker Tour. Make sure to tune in for the recap tomorrow; in the meantime, enjoy the full results from the €500 Main Event below.
Aleey Neofitov peeked at his hole cards on the Button, then forced Hugo Caldeira all in for 2,850,000. Calderia made the call from the Big Blind.
Alexey Neofitov: J♦10♦ Hugo Caldeira: K♣5♣
The Q♣5♥8♣ flop brought Hitchcock-like suspense. Neofitov hit his straight on the 9♠ turn, and the 4♥ river ultimately ended Caldeira’s impressive run. For his runner-up finish, he was awarded €31,750.
The very first hand of heads-up play, Hugo Caldeira limped the 200,000 Big Blind from the Button. Alexey Neofitov checked the Big Blind.
After an initial check from Neofitov, Calderia bet 200,000 on the 5♠6♥K♥ flop. Neofitov then completed a check-raise move to 650,000, and Caldeira made the call. Action went check-check on the 9♣ turn. Neofitov checked again on the 7♣ river, then called a 1,000,000 bet from Caldeira.
Hugo Caldeira: 9♥7♦ Alexey Neofitov: K♦3♣
Runner-runner two-pair was crucial for Calderia to bring some life to this one-versus-one duel.
Alexey Neofitov: 21,325,000 Hugo Caldeira: 5,425,000
Alexey Neofitov opened to 425,000 on the Button. Daniel Ruiz Triana moved all in for 3,700,000 from the Big Blind, and Neofitov made the call.
Daniel Ruiz Triana: A♣J♠ Alexey Neofitov: 9♥9♣
“Why stop now,” the almighty Poker Gods must’ve been thinking, as they kept Neofitov’s sun run going on the 9♠7♠8♣ flop. They did tease Ruiz Triana with a straight draw, but the 5♣Q♠ runout ultimately saw Ruiz Triana go out in third place for €20,000.
The stage is now set for a heads-up showdown between Neofitov and Hugo Caldeira, with Neofitov holding quite the commanding chip lead.
Alexey Neofidov: 23,375,000 Hugo Calderia: 3,375,000 Daniel Ruiz Triana: 0
Chip leader Alexey Neofitov utilized his big stack to put pressure on the remaining players; he open-shoved for 15,175,000 on the Button. Raphael Lenaerts committed his 3,700,000 stack to make the call.
Alexey Neofitov: 6♥6♦ Raphael Lenaerts: A♣Q♦
Neofitov maintained his lead on the 4♥3♠5♣ flop. He improved to top set on the 6♠ turn, and no straight for Lenaerts on the K♦ river. As such, Lenaerts bid farewell in fourth place for €14,000, and Neofitov’s added even more chips to his already impressive stack.
Action folded to Hugo Caldeira in the Small Blind, who moved all in for 5,775,000. Daniel Ruiz Triana (Big Blind) committed his 2,000,000 stack to make the call for his tournament life.
Hugo Caldeira: Q♦3♥ Daniel Ruiz Triana: K♣10♥
The board spelled out J♣9♦2♦8♠J♥, and Ruiz Triana scored a full double-up.
Daniel Ruiz Triana: 4,200,000 Hugo Caldeira: 3,775,000
The four remaining players are now on a 20-minute break. Below are the current chip counts; it’s safe to say one player can put more pressure than the others.
Chip leader Alexey Neofitov opened to 380,000 from the Cut-off. Nicolas De Floch moved all in for 2,535,000 from the Big Blind, and Neofitov made the call.
Nicolas De Floch: K♦Q♣ Alexey Neofitov: A♣Q♥
The 8♥9♣5♦2♠7♠ runout sent De Floch home in fifth place for €10,000, and Neofitov’s sun run continues.
Alejandro Rubio clicked it to 320,000 UTG before Hugo Caldeira three-bet to 850,000 from the Cut-off. Rubio proceeded by forcing his opponent all in for 3,080,000, and Caldeira snap-called.
Alejandro Rubio: A♦K♠ Hugo Caldeira: K♥K♦
Big Slick versus the Cowboys, and Rubio was in rough shape. “There’s always an ace on the flop” is the old saying. It’s simply not true; the board spelled out 7♣10♦2♣Q♥9♣, and as Caldeira received a full double-up, Rubio lost a big chunk of his stack.
Hugo Caldeira: 6,560,000 Alejandro Rubio: 2,275,000
Hugo Caldeira opened to 1,500,000 UTG, leaving himself with 255,000 behind. Short-stacked David Rodriguez Lamas used his 1,325,000 stack to make the call from the Hi-jack, and the two players soon tabled their holdings.
Hugo Caldeira: A♥K♥ David Rodriguez Lamas: 8♠8♦
The snowmen maintained their lead on the Q♦Q♣2♣ flop, but the script was flipped on the K♣ turn. The 4♥ river ultimately sealed Rodriguez Lamas’ fate, and he was eliminated in seventh place for €6,625.
The UK’s Ashley Brown min-raised to 320,000 from UTG+1. Chip leader Alexey Neofitov made the call from the Small Blind, and the two of them were heads-up to the flop.
Neofitov donk-bet 250,000 on the 6♥3♦2♦ flop, and Brown made the call. Neofitov sized down to a shy 160,000 on the 8♣ turn, to which Brown responded by raising to 750,000. Neofitov then forced his opponent all in for 2,480,000, and Brown made the call.
Alexey Neofitov: 8♦6♦ Ashley Brown: A♥A♦
What a flop it had been for Neofitov, and the turn wasn’t too shabby, either. For good measure, he improved to a flush on the 4♦ river to send Brown home in eighth place for €5,500. Neofitov became the first player to reach an eight-digit stack.
Action folded to Nicolas De Floch, who open-shoved 1,065,000 from the Cut-off. After receiving the count, Daniel Ruiz Triana re-shoved for 3,930,000 from the Small Blind. David Lamas Rodriguez folded his Big Blind, and the two contestants tabled their holdings.
Nicolas De Floch: A♥K♠ Daniel Ruiz Triana: 6♥6♦
Le Floch immediately improved to a superior pair on the 8♦K♥2♠ flop. For good measure, he improved to two-pair on the A♠Q♥ to secure a full double-up at the expense of Ruiz Triana.
Daniel Ruiz Triana: 2,925,000 Nicolas De Floch: 2,370,000
Seated UTG+1, Jorge Ruiz min-raised to 240,000. Alejandro Rubio then three-bet to 600,000 from the Lo-jack. When action came back to Ruiz, he moved all in for 1,240,000 in total. After receiving the count, Rubio made the call.
Jorge Ruiz: A♥K♣ Alejandro Rubio: Q♥Q♦
If the money hadn’t gone in pre-flop, it most certainly would have on A♦A♣Q♠. No improvement for Ruiz on the 3♠4♦ runout, and he became the first casualty of the final table, going out in ninth place for €4,500.
Hugo Caldeira opened to 200,000 from UTG+2. Chip leader Neofitov three-bet to 525,000 from the Cut-off, and Caldeira made the call.
Action went check-check on the 5♠7♠9♦ flop. Caldeira bet 350,000 on the 4♠ turn, and Neofitov made the call. Caldeira checked the K♥ river, and Neofitov then forced his opponent all in for 2,005,000. Caldeira relieved a heavy sigh before folding.
Thanks to the stream, we know that Neofitov was holding 8♥5♥, and his river shove forced Caldeira to fold 7♥7♣.
Alexey Neofitov: 7,750,000 Hugo Caldeira: 2,005,000

Below are all results from the €500 Main Event up ’til the final table. Also, don’t forget to check out the “Results” tab, where you can see the results from all side events.
The charismatic (albeit short-stacked) Fred Wulff open-shoved 620,000 from the Hi-jack. After receiving the count, chip leader Alexey Neofitov made the call from the Big Blind.
Fred Wulff: Q♠10♦ Alexey Neofitov: K♠10♣
Wulff was dominated, but the Q♥ in the window brought some hope. Unfortunately for him, the full flop read Q♥K♥7♠. The board completed with 3♠9♥, and Wulff’s tournament life came to an end. He received €3,550 for finishing in tenth, and the remaining nine players have all secured a spot at the final table.
The said final table will be live-streamed on PartyPoker’s YouTube channel with a 30-minute delay; the poker.pro live coverage will follow the delay, so as not to spoil anything. That being said, the final table chip counts and all results from today so far will soon be posted.
Action folded to Jorge Ruiz, who moved all in for 685,000 from the Small Blind. Seated in the Big Blind, Alfonso Benitez peeked at his holdings and then made the call without hesitation.
Jorge Ruiz: K♦9♠ Alfonso Benitez: A♦5♣
Benitez was ever-so slightly ahead with ace high, but Ruiz smashed the K♣K♥6♠ flop. The board completed with 7♥2♠, and as Ruiz doubled up, Benitez was left with 635,000. One or two hands later, he moved all in from the Hi-jack, and was called by David Lamas (Big Blind).
Alfonso Benitez: J♠8♠ David Lamas: A♣2♣
Benitez took the lead on the 10♠8♦7♦ flop, but the A♥ saw the tables turning. The Q♠ ended Benitez’s tournament life, and the tournament is now on the final table bubble.
David Lamas: 2,350,000 Jorge Ruiz: 1,470,000 Alfonso Benitez: 0
Red Poker was able to catch yet another elimination, while poker.pro Christoffer Karlén was covering the other table.
German Fred Wulff moved all in from early position. Alvaro Gonzalez made the call from the Small Blind, being the player at risk. Chip leader Alexey Neofitov mucked his Big Blind, and it was time for a showdown.
Fred Wulff: J♠8♠ Alvaro Gonzalez: Q♣10♣
The 4♠6♠K♣ runout brought some excitement, and as Wulff improved to a flush on the 7♦10♠ runout, Gonzalez bid farewll in twelth place for €2,700.
This poker.pro live reporter missed an elimination. Luckily, PokerRed was able to catch the action, and poker.pro were given permission to re-tell the hand from their blog.
Mikel Alonso opened to 160,000 from the Small Blind. Daniel Ruiz Triana then three-bet to 330,000 on the Big Blind, and Alonso made the call.
After an initial check from Alonso, Ruiz Triana fired a continuation bet on the 2♠3♦4♠ flop. Alonso then completed a check-raise move to 650,000. After spending a minute or two in the tank, Ruiz Triana forced his opponent in for not much more. Being pot committed, Alonso made the call.
Daniel Ruiz Triana: Q♣Q♦ Mikel Alonso: J♦J♥
No jack on the 5♥8♥ runout, and Alonso was eliminated in fourteenth place for €2,150. Moments later, Jose Valverde went out in thirteenth for €2,700.
Daniel Ruiz Triana: 4,000,000 Mikel Alonso: 0 Jose Valverde: 0
Seated in the Hi-jack, Nicolas Le Floch opened to 140,000. Antonio Ruiz Ledo moved all in for 435,000 from the Cut-off, and Le Floch made the call.
Antonio Ruiz Ledo: Q♣Q♠ Nicolas De Floch: 8♠8♦
Ruiz Ledo had a solid lead with pocket queens, but De Floch improved to a set on the J♣3♣8♥ flop. No help for Ruiz Ledo on the 5♥10♥ runout, and he was eliminated in fifteenth place for €2,150.
Antonio Ruiz Ledo open-shoved for 715,000 UTG. David Lamas re-shoved for 600,000 from the Cut-off, and the two contestants were soon heads-up to the flop.
Antonio Ruiz Ledo: 3♠3♣ David Lamas: K♥K♠
Lamas’ cowboys were good on the 2♣7♦10♠10♣A♣, and Ruiz Ledo survived with breadcrumbs. On the next hand, he was forced all in for 60,000 in the Big Blind after posting the Ante. Jorge Ruiz opened to 120,000 from the Cut-off, and Alfonso Benitez made the call from the Small Blind. The two of them checked down every street of the 5♥A♥3♥6♥4♥ board.
Antonio Ruiz Ledo: Q♥4♦ Alfonso Benitez: K♠9♠ Jorge Ruiz: K♦Q♦
With a superior flush, Ruiz Ledo survived and was now up to 260,000. The following hand, action folded to him in the Small Blind, and he moved all in. Being priced in, Alejandro Rubio made the call from the Big Blind.
Antonio Ruiz Ledo: K♣5♠ Alejandro Rubio: 4♣3♦
Ruiz Ledo fancied another flush as the board spelled out 9♣5♣2♣10♠8♣. Is this the start of something great?
Chip leader Alexey Neofitov min-raised to 100,000 from UTG+1, before 2025 PartyPoker Tour Manchester £500 Main Event champion three-bet to 410,000. Then, Hugo De Brites four-bet to 750,000 on the Button. Neofitov mucked rather swiftly; Orhan contemplated his decision for a minute before moving all in for perhaps 850,000 in total. Naturally, De Brites made the call.
Deniz Orhan: Q♠Q♦ Hugo De Brites: A♥K♠
Orhan maintained his lead on the J♠2♣9♥ flop, but the A♣ turn saw De Brites taking a solid lead. No help for Orhan on the 4♣ river, and as he was eliminated in fifteenth place for €1,750, there won’t be a twice-fold PartyPoker Tour Main Event champion.
Antonio Ruiz Ledo opened to 110,000 UTG. Seated right next to him, Alejandro Rubio made the call from UTG+1. Action eventually came to Alfonso Benitez, who moved all in for 445,000 from the Small Blind. Ruiz Ledo then re-shoved for 1,160,000; after receiving the count, Rubio made the fold.
Alfonso Benitez: A♣Q♥ Antonio Ruiz Ledo: 10♠10♥
Benitez improved to a pair of aces on the 5♠A♦9♦ flop, and Ruiz Ledo wasn’t able to reclaim the driver’s seat on the 2♠5♥ runout.
Alfonseo Benitez: 1,100,000 Antonio Ruiz Ledo: 830,000
Seated UTG, German Fred Wulff open-shoved for 630,000. Action folded all the way to the shortest stack, Hugo Benitez Pereira, who utilized his 265,000 stack to make the call.
Fred Wulff: 10♠10♣ Hugo Benitez Pereira: A♣10♥
Wulff dodged an ace or any other shenanigan as the board spelled out K♠3♦7♥6♦6♠. As such, Benitez Pereira was eliminated on the first hand of Day 3, earning €1,750 for his eighteenth-place finish. The very next hand, Kilin Csaba went out at the same table for the same prize, and the table was broken.
Fred Wulff: 970,000 Kilin Csaba: 0 Hugo Benitez Pereira: 0
This is it, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to the final day of the 2026 PartyPoker Tour Madrid. Golly, what a week it has been, and it’s all about to wrap up in the most stellar fashion. The main course of today’s menu is, undeniably, the final day of the €500 Main Event. This poker.pro live reporter is getting goosebumps already.
The eighteen remaining players will take their seats in roughly 15 minutes and resume the fight for the prestigious title, the coveted trophy, and the €45,000 first-place payout. Aleey Neofitov is the one who has earned himself the best presumptions for a super deep run, as he’ll begin play at Gran Via Casino with the chip lead (4,835,000). It won’t be a walk in the park, though; second in chips is WSOP Online Ring Event winner Daniel Triana Ruiz with 2,785,000. 2025 PartyPoker Tour Manchester £500 Main Event winner Deniz Orhan is tenth in the rankings with 1,085,000, looking to beccome the first-ever two-time PartyPoker Tour Main Event champion.
The stage is set for a dramatic showdown, and poker.pro live reporter Christoffer Karlén is ready to cover every knook and cranny of the action. Buckle up.
Seated UTG, short-stacked Deniz Orhan moved all in for 520,000. Chip leader Alexey Neofitov made the call from the Button, and the two of them were soon heads-up to the flop.
Deniz Orhan: K♣K♥ Alexey Neofitov: A♣A♥
“Wow, how have you managed that?” Orhan couldn’t believe the setup. “There you go,” the proper Neofitov granted his opponent on the K♦4♥10♥ flop. The Q♠8♥ runout saw Orhan secure a full double-up the second-to-last hand of the day.
Nothing exciting happened on the final hand, and the 18 remaining players are now bagging up for tomorrow’s Day 3. This wraps up today’s live coverage on poker.pro; live reporter Christoffer Karlén will soon return with the end-of-day chip counts. In the meantime, enjoy the full table of today’s results below.
Action folded to Chen Yi in the Lo-jack, who opened to 80,000. Alexey Neofitov made the call from the Cut-off, and 2025 PartyPoker Tour Manchester £500 Main Event champion Deniz Orhan decided to defend his Big Blind.
Action was checked to Neofitov on the 3♠9♥J♦ flop, who bet 75,000. Orhan mucked before Yi made the call. After another check from Yi on the 10♦ turn, Neofitov bet 175,000. Yi then completed a check-raise move to 400,000, and Neofitov made the call.
The river was the 5♣, and Yi now moved all in for 1,210,000; a considerable amount of what Neofitov had left. Neoftiov studied the board as he contemplated his decision. Soon enough, he was called the clock upon. “Come on,” Neofitov sighed, meaning it was not enough time considering the velocity of the decision. Nevertheless, he had 30 seconds to make his decision. With five seconds left, he made the call.
Chen Yi: A♦Q♦ Alexey Neofitov: 10♣8♣
Neofitov clapped his hands, rose from his chair, and said all the celebratory Russian words. A sublime call saw him claiming what has to be the biggest pot of the tournament so far, and Yi was sent to the rail in twentieth place as Neofitov claimed the chip lead.
Alejandro Rubio opened to 80,000 from the Lo-jack. Mikel Alonso made the call on the Button, before short-stacked Pablo Garcia moved all in for a shy 145,000. A 300,000 three-bet from Rubio was enough to scare Alonso away.
Pablo Garcia: 2♣2♠ Alejandro Rubio: A♣J♠
The 9♣10♥Q♦ begged the question whether this would be a “Too many outs” scenario or not for Rubio. That wasn’t the case; he improved to the best hand on the A♥ turn, and the 10♦ river ultimately saw Garcia bidding farewell in twenty-first place for €1,500.
Alexey Neofitov opened to 60,000 from the Lo-jack, then called a 270,000 three-bet from Daniel Ruiz (Small Blind).
Neofitov called a 170,000 continuation bet from Ruiz on A♦8♣3♦. Ruiz slowed down and checked the 6♦ turn, then called 330,000 from Neofitov. Both players checked the 9♠ river.
Daniel Ruiz: A♣K♣ Alexey Neofitov: A♠5♠
With a superior kicker, Ruiz claimed the large pot; Ruiz and Neofitov are probobly two of the biggest stacks at this moment.
Level 23 (the final level of the day) will begin in five minutes. Below is an updated list of casualties. 2025 PartyPoker Tour Manchester £500 Main Event winner Deniz Orhan is still in the field.
Pablo Garcia opened to 60,000 from the Hi-jack. Alejandro Rubio made the call on the Button.
Garcia check-called a 70,000 bet from Rubio on the A♣8♠J♦ flop. Action repeated itself on the 9♠ turn, the only difference being that the sizing from Rubio was now 300,000. Garcia completed the check trifecta on the 5♥ river, and Rubio moved all in for 880,000. Garcia went into the tank; eventually, he was called the clock upon. With a few seconds left, he made the call.
Alejandro Rubio: Q♥10♥ Pablo Garcia: Q♥10♥
Garcia received a full double-up with his straight. As he was stacking his chips, the charismatic German Fred Wulff (who’s also seated on the table), asked poker.pro live reporter Christoffer Karlén if he’s Scandinavian:
“Yes, Swedish,” Karlén replied. “However, ich bin in schule vier jahre Deutsch gelesen.” Wulff did a great job hiding how unimpressed he was with Karléns linguistical skills.
2025 PartyPoker Tour Manchester £500 Main Event winner Deniz Orhan is one of the players on the live-streamed TV table, and he just made a quite impressive fold.
Orhan opened to 35,000 from the Hi-jack, and was called by Jose Valverde in the Big Blind. Valverde check-called 21,000 from Orhan on the 9♥9♦4♣ flop, and the dealer revealed the 9♣ turn. After another check from Valverde, Orhan continued for 32,000. Valverde then completed a check-raise move to 65,000, and Orhan made the call.
The river was the K♣. After spending a minute or two in the tank, Valverde moved all in for 416,000. Orhan sighed heavily and leaned forward, studying the board with surgical precision. “You show me if I fold?” Orha asked his opponent. Quiet as the wind. “I’m gonna see it on the stream later anyway,” Orhan continued. Again, quiet. All in all, Orhan didn’t take too long before folding, revealing his big K♥K♦ holdings. The other players at the table were stunned.
Thirty minutes later on the stream, Orhan impressed this live reporter, as Valverde’s hand was revealed: 9♠6♦.
Action folded to Alberto Martin, who moved all in for 215,000 from the Cut-off. Ricardo Moran peeked at his hole cards, then made the call for his remaining 126,000.
Alberto Martin: Q♥Q♣ Ricardo Moran: A♣6♦
Queens were good on the 8♣4♥K♠4♣3♦ board, and Moran was eliminated in fifty-first place for €1,100.
Jonathan Rees, who final table-bubbled the €500 Main Event during the 2026 PartyPoker Tour Seville, opened to 35,000 from the Cut-off. Brazilian Matheus Salamao then moved all in for 282,000 from the Small Blind. Rees considered his options for a while; after receiving the count, he decided to make the call.
Matheus Salamao: A♣Q♥ Jonathan Rees: 7♠7♦
“Good luck,” good sport Rees wished his opponent. The Poker Gods didn’t grant him any good karma, as Salamao smashed the A♥3♠Q♦ flop. No set for Rees on the 2♠5♠ runout, and he survived with coffee money.
Pablo Garcia min-raised to 32,000 from the Lo-jack. 2025 PartyPoker Tour Leaderboard winner Alexander “Wishiper96” Georgiev thought long and well before ultimately folding from the Hi-jack. The sole PartyPoker Tour Ambassador left in the field, Natalie Bromley, then moved all in for 125,000 from the Button. Garcia comfortably made the call.
Natalie Bromley: A♥Q♦ Pablo Garcia: K♠K♥
Garcia hit a set on the J♥K♣3♠ flop, and Bromley was looking for a ten to hit a straight. The 4♣9♣ runout wasn’t it, and the last person wearing the PartyPoker patch was eliminated in fifty-ninth place for €1,100. “You almost stacked me,” Georgiev told Garcia as Bromley exited the tournament area. “I had something decent, but my spider senses were tingling.”
The remaining players in the €500 Main Event have survived the first pay jump. Amongst those claiming the €1,000 min-cash are PartyPoker Tour Ambassador Daniel Garcia and 2025 PartyPoker Tour London (Winter Edition) £500 Main Event champion Thomas Sanderson. Below is the first batch of casualties.
Pablo Garcia opened to 25,000 from the Lo-jack. Jose Tome made it 55,000 from the Hi-jack, and short-stacked PartyPoker Tour Ambassador Natalie Bromley moved all in for 30,000. Garcia called to make it three-ways to the flop.
Garcia check-folded to a 60,000 bet from Tome on 10♦7♠7♣; Tome and Bromley tabled their holdings.
Natalie Bromley: A♠A♦ Jose Tome: Q♠Q♣
The 10♣10♠ runout granted Bromley a full triple-up.
Pablo Garcia: 485,000 Jose Tome: 340,000 Natalie Bromley: 120,000
Cristian Moratalla opened to 20,000 from the Hi-jack. Jose Valverde (Cut-off) and 2025 PartyPoker Tour Manchester £500 Main Event champion Deniz Orhan (Big Blind) both made the call.
All three players checked the A♣J♥Q♥ flop. After an initial check from Orhan on the Q♠ turn, Moratalla bet 30,000. Valverde folded before Orhan made the call.
Orhan then claimed the driver’s seat with a 78,000 bet on the 2♦ river. Moratalla then decided to move all in for 192,000, which had Orhan troubled. He monologued for a minute or two before slamming down the chips and making the call.
Cristian Moratalla: 4♣4♠ Deniz Orhan: Q♣2♥
Orhan was good with the full house, and he received a big double-up just before the break.

In the year-and-a-half-long history of the PartyPoker Tour, there hasn’t been a twofold Main Event winner. That could potentially change, seeing as 2025 PartyPoker Tour Manchester £500 Main Event champion Deniz Orhan and 2025 PartyPoker Tour London (Winter Edition) £500 Main Event champion Thomas Sanderson are both still in the mix.
The bubble has burst in the €500 Main Event, and the remaining 77 players are all in the money. They are guaranteed a €1,000 min-cash, but they all have their eyes on the €45,000 first-place payout.
During hand-for-hand play, there were two all-ins at the same time, at two different tables. At Table 3, Jacinto Reyes moved all in UTG for 74,000. Action folded all the way to Ignacio Tabnanera, who made the call from the Big Blind.
Jacinto Reyes: A♦10♠ Ignacio Tabnanera: A♠K♦
The 2♣8♠7♦3♦9♥ offered a clean runout for big slick, and Reyes became one of the bubble people. The other person to stone bubble was sitting at the featured table, so that hand will not be posted at the poker.pro live blog; we don’t like spoilers.
PartyPoker Tour Ambassador/poker legend Niall “Firaldo” Farrell has been eliminated from the €500 Main Event. He joins other ambassadors (Barny Boatman and Glenn Brown) on the rail, as well as PartyPoker Team Pro Jaime Staples. Daniel Garcia and Natalie Bromley are still in the mix.
The bubble is approaching, and the atmosphere of the room has gone more quiet and focused.
Seated UTG, prominent Irish player David Penly opened to 13,000. PartyPoker Tour regular Stefan Stroffek made the call from UTG+1, and Juan Castejon joined in on the fun from the Big Blind.
Action was checked to Stroffek on the 8♣6♣Q♥ flop, who bet 14,000. Castejon made the call before Penly completed a check-raise move to 60,000. Stroffek spent three minutes in the tank before folding, and Castejon needed a similar amount of time before also mucking.

Play has resumed after the dinner break, and about 10 minutes in, Alberto Martinez opened to 12,000. PartyPoker Tour Ambassador/poker legend Niall “Firaldo” Farrell three-bet to 27,000 from the Hi-jack, and Martinez made the call.
Martinez check-called a 15,000 continuation bet from Firaldo on the 6♣6♥8♣ flop. Both players then checked the 2♥ turn and the J♦ river.
First to show, Martinez tabled A♣9♦. Firaldo sighed, mucked, and took a zip of his mysterious drink.
Alberto Martinez: 385,000 Niall “Firaldo” Farrell: 78,000
James Grogan, who’s a PartyPoker Tour regular, opened to 11,000 from the Cut-off. Abraham Gil defended his Big Blind and checked in the dark.
Grogan checked back the 8♠3♥10♥ flop, and the dealer revealed the 7♥ turn. Gil bet 12,000, and Grogan made the call. Gil continued on the aggressive path with another 12,000 on the 4♥ river, then mucked to a 35,000 Grogan raise.
PartyPoker Tour Ambassador Glenn Brown open-shoved 29,000 UTG. Jorge Ojeda made the call from the Hi-jack, and the two contestants were soon heads-up to the flop.
Glenn Brown: 10♦10♣ Jorge Ojeda: A♣K♦
Brown’s pocket pair managed to hold as the board spelled out 5♦5♣8♣2♠2♦, and he received a full double-up.
On the TV table, Alexey Neofitov opened to 8,000 from UTG+1. Junda Zhu made the call from the Ji-jack, before PartyPoker Team Pro Jaime Staples moved all in for 66,000 from the Cut-off. Action eventually folded back to Zhu, who made the call.
Jaime Staples: A♥J♥ Junda Zhu: A♣Q♠
Unfortunate spot for Staples. Zhu maintained his lead on the 4♦10♣10♦ flop, then improved to two-pair on the Q♥ turn. Staples was hoping for a river cowboy to hit a straight, but the 2♦ ultimately ended his fate. As such, he became the first one wearing the PartyPoker patch to bid farewell in Day 2. The various PartyPoker Tour Ambassadors are still in the mix, when Daniel Garcia having a very healthy stack.
Daniel Garcia: 737,000 Junda Zhu: 350,000 Jaime Staples: 0
The board read 7♠9♥8♣9♦3♠. Alexander “Wishiper96” Georgiev (Hi-jack) was faced with a 30,000 bet from Edin Hrnjic (Big Blind), and was contemplating his decision. “Do you have a nine?” Georgiev asked his opponent. No answer, and Georgiev ultimately decided to make the call.
Hrnjic instantly mucked his hand, and Georgiev revealed A♦K♥ for a decent call.
Seated UTG, Ricardo Moran min-raised to 8,000. Manuel O’Shea made the call from the Big Blind.
O’shea check-called a 6,000 bet from Moran on the 5♦7♠2♥ flop. Action repeated itself on the 10♠ turn, the only difference being that the sizing from Moran now was 26,000. O’Shea completed the check trifecta on the J♦ river, and Moran bet 80,000, leaving himself with 66,000 behind. After spending some time in the tank, O’Shea mucked. All in all, the hand took about eight minutes, reminding of thick gravy on a Sunday steak.
David Sayago opened to 6,000 from the Hi-jack. PartyPoker Tour Ambassador Glenn Brown made the call from the Small Blind, and Sergio Moron joined the fun from the Big Blind.
All three players checked the K♣A♠Q♣ flop. It was brown who bet 6,000 on the Q♦ turn; Moron swiftly mcked before Sayago made the call. Brown put out another 6,000 on the 6♦ river, and then called a 20,000 raise from Sayago.
Sayago tabled Q♠J♣, and Brown acknowledged the winning hand. As Sayago collected the pot, Brown revealed to this poker.pro live reporter that he had A♣3♣. Quite the flop, but no improvement.
Through the player above, you can watch the live-streamed TV table with a 30-minute delay. PartyPoker Tour Ambassador Daniel Garcia and PartyPoker Team Pro are both seated at the table.
Norwegian Cato Vonheim opened to 6,000 from the Lo-jack. Marcos Thielke made the call from the Button, and Marti Bosch decided to defend his Big Blind.
Bosch checked it over to Vonheim on the A♥3♦5♥ flop, who continued for 8,000. Thielke made the call before Bosch got out of the way. Vonheim slowed down and checked on the 4♣ turn, then called 38,000 from Thielke. Another check from Vonheim on the 8♦ river was followed by an 85,000 bet from Thielke. Vonheim made the call after one minute’s worth of consideration.
Thilke tabled 2♣2♦ for a turned straight, and he claimed the considerable pot. At the same time at a nearby table, PartyPoker Tour Ambassador/poker legend Niall “Firaldo” Farrell lost a big pot, as he made a call on the river and was shown a flush.

Day 2 of the €500 Main Event has just kicked off, and the first hand is currently being dealt. Today, play will conclude once the final table is reached, or when Level 12 concludes (approximately 2:35 a.m.
Okay, ladies and gentlemen, things are about to get real. It’s the penultimate day of 2026 PartyPoker Tour Madrid, and Day 2 of the prestigious €500 Main Event.
Day 1d (which was a hyper turbo) was the fourth and final chance for players to get into Day 2. Said flight wrapped up about one hour ago, sending another 20 players into Day 2 (Day 1d scored 63 entries in total). All and all, this is the biggest-ever Main Event during the PartyPoker Tour’s one-and-a-half-year-long history, with a whopping 535 entries. The prize pool reads €238,075; it’s safe to say PartyPoker made quick work of the €100,000 guarantee.
The Day 2 contestants are not yet in the money; it’s going to be a very exciting first levels today. The clock has rolled back to Level 12 with Blinds 1,500/3,000, which is something the shorter stacks should appriciate. Mikel Alonso is the current chip leader with 665,000, but it won’t be a walk in the park. PartyPoker Tour Ambassador Daniel Garcia is fourth with 552,000; other ambassadors still in the mix are Glenn Brown, Natalie Bromley, Barny Boatman, and Niall “Firaldo” Farrell. PartyPoker Team Pro Jaime Staples is also still in the mix, as is the case with 2025 PartyPoker Tour Manchester £500 Main Event winner Deniz Orhan, 2025 PartyPoker Tour London (Winter Edition) £500 Main Event winner Thomas Sanderson, and 2025 PartyPoker Tour Leaderboard winner Alexander “Wishiper96” Georgiev.
Day 2 will kick off in roughly 30 minutes; it’s going to be a heck of a show, and poker.pro Christoffer Karlén is on-site at Casino Gran Via, ready to cover every knook and cranny of today’s action.
Mykhaylo Hrytsyk has been eliminated in fifty-ninth place, meaning that play in Day 1b of the €500 Main Event has concluded. The 58 survivors are now bagging their chips for Day 2. The poker.pro editorial office will soon return with the Day 1b chip counts.

Last year, PartyPoker made its much-anticipated return to the live poker scene, as the 2025 PartyPoker Tour was born. The tour consisted of five stops (all in the UK), and the successful first year is why the tour is expanding to Spain this year.
The 2025 PartyPoker Tour wrapped up with its fifth and final stop at the same place it began: Genting Casino Stratford, London. As is always the case with the PartyPoker Tour, the £500 Main Event headlined the schedule, and considering the biggest-ever PartyPoker Tour Main Event to date went down in London during the inaugural stop of the tour last year, the expectations were high for yet another big turnout in the English capital.
The Main Event during the 2025 PartyPoker Tour Winter Edition attracted 399 entries, creating a £177,555 prize pool. In other words, the £100,000 guarantee was smashed in stellar fashion. After three days of intense poker action, it was Thomas Sanderson who emerged victorious, claiming the £27,780 first-place prize and the trophy. Sanderson, by the way, is on-site here in Madrid, and he bagged in Day 1a of the €500 Main Event.
Then, there was also the £150 Mini Main Event. A total of 726 entries translated to a £90,750 prize pool; the £50,000 guarantee was almost doubled. The tournament was a smashing success, and victory would belong to André Emerenciano, who emerged victorious and cashed for £14,530.
The PartyPoker Tour will return to Genting Casino Stratford, London, in 2026. It has been announced that the tour will pay the English capital a visit July 4-12, and considering the numbers the two previous London stops have delivered, players should have high expectations.

Last year, PartyPoker made its much-anticipated return to the live poker scene, as the 2025 PartyPoker Tour was born. The tour consisted of five stops (all in the UK), and the successful first year is why the tour is expanding to Spain this year.
The fourth stop of the 2025 PartyPoker Tour was held in Birmingham. It was the first time in some years that Genting Resorts World, Birmingham, hosted a live poker event of this magnitude, and the local players were very grateful for PartyPoker bringing new life to the scene.
The £500 Main Event attracted 343 entries; the £100,000 guarantee was shattered, as the final prize pool read £152,635. The £27,420 and the coveted trophy were ultimately claimed by Tai Hoang, who displayed great poker skills throughout the 2025 PartyPoker Tour Birmingham.

Speaking of Hoang, he had quite the week, as he also finished as the runner-up in the £150 Mini Main Event. Out of the 660 entries, Robert Douras was the only one who could outlast Hoang. Douras claimed £14,370 after what has to be one of the most dominating performances ever on a final table. Hoang got £9,080, which was also a considerable amount of the £82,500 prize pool.
Under the ”Results” tab at the poker.pro live blog, you can find all results from the various Side Events during the 2026 PartyPoker Tour Madrid. The page is soon to be updated with yesterday’s results.
The €500 Main Event turbo starting-day flight that is Day 1c is also currently running at Gran Via Casino. It’s currently on Level 7, meaning players still have the opportunity to enter. Two big names in the competition is 2025 PartyPoker Tour leaderboard winner Alexander ”Wishiper96” Georgiev and poker legend Dara O’Kearney.

Last year, PartyPoker made its much-anticipated return to the live poker scene, as the 2025 PartyPoker Tour was born. The tour consisted of five stops (all in the UK), and the successful first year is why the tour is expanding to Spain this year.
The third stop of the 2025 PartyPoker tour was in Glasgow. The legendary PokerBrand took over Alea Casino for a week; it’s an utterly beautiful casino with the most amazing view over the River Clyde.
The £500 Main Event featured a Cinderella story, as exchange student Zhen Zhen navigated her way through the field that consisted of 256 entries. For her win, Zhen was awarded £22,500, the largest chunk of the £111,821 prize pool.
The festival, naturally, also featured the £150 Mini Main Event. That particular affair scored 468 entries, creating a £57,966 prize pool. It was local player Christian Watt who claimed the win and the £10,260 first-place payout.
PartyPoker will return to Glasgow and Alea Casino as a part of the 2026 PartyPoker Tour. All players would be very wise to mark August 3-9 in their calendars, preparing for yet another PartyPoker Tour event in the Scottish gem.
Play has resumed after another 20-minute break. PartyPoker Tour Ambassador Daniel Garcia is the current chip leader; the tournament is playing down to 58 players, so the contestants are getting fairly close to finding a Day 2 bag.

The board read 9♥10♥5♦A♦5♥ with 35,000 in the middle. Martin Garcia (Big Blind) bet 23,000, and the decision was on PartyPoker Team Pro Jaime Staples (UTG+2).
“Here’s the thing, man,” Staples started what was going to be a two-minute monologue. “There are too many draws; you just can’t have anything. The five I don’t believe for a second…” Staples continued rambling, and it’s a miracle he didn’t go back all the way to his childhood. Ultimately, he found the call.
Martin Garcia: J♦8♦ Jaime Staples: A♠7♠
A sublime call from Staples, and he proved once and for all that he can do more than talking.
PartyPoker Tour Ambassador Daniel Garcia opened to 6,000 from the Lo-jack. Mykhaylo Hrytsyk, who had a deep run in yesterday’s €150 Mini Main Event, three-bet to 25,000, and Garcia made the call.
Hrytsyk continued for 21,000 on the 5♦4♣3♥ flop, and Garcia made the call. Action repeated itself on the 5♠ turn, the only difference being that Hrytsyk now sized up to 56,500. Hrytsyk slowed down and checked the Q♣ river, and Garcia then forced his opponent all in for 259,500.
This sent Hrytsyk deep into the tank. He leaned back in his chair and contemplated his decision for a good five minutes. Eventually, he was called the clock on, and, ultimately, he decided to let his hand go.
Garcia revealed his 6♦6♥ holdings as he raked in the pot.
Action folded to PartyPoker Tour Ambassador Natalie Bromley, who opened to 7,000 on the Button. Darren Tomlinson decided to defend his Big Blind.
Tomlinson donk-bet 10,000 on the 5♣10♠5♦ flop, and Bromley made the call. Tomlinson slowed down on the K♣ turn; he checked, then folded to a 17,000 bet from Bromley. The Ambassadors are on fire (Rebecca Hardisty has been eliminated, though).

Yesterday, the record-breaking €150 Mini Main Event wrapped up, with Federico Estrada Mazzarella claiming the title and €16,550. Read all about how it unfolded below.
There are currently four PartyPoker Tour Ambassadors in Day 1b. Below are their current chip counts; PartyPoker Team Pro Jaime Staples’ stack is also included.
There is a good chance Daniel Garcia is the overall chip leader.
Steven Keay opened to 5,000 from UTG+2, and then called a 13,500 three-bet from Cesar Montanes (Hi-jack).
It was Iron Maiden who summoned the 6♦6♣6♠ flop, and Keay check-called 12,500 from Montanes. Another check from Keay on the 4♠ was followed by a 25,000 bet from Montanes, and Keay mucked.
The board read 3♥10♦J♣7♦8♦ with 47,000 in the middle. Kristian Aksnes (UTG+1) checked it over to big-stacked Andoni Sanchez (Lo-jack), who bet 40,000. After some consideration, Aksnes made the call.
“Straight,” Sanchez announced as he tabled 10♥9♥. Aksnes mucked, and Sanchez added to his already impressive stack.
Antonio Munoz limped the 2,000 Big Blind from UTG+1. 2025 PartyPoker Tour Leaderboard winner Alexander “Wishiper96” Georgiev made it 5,500 from the Hi-jack. Raphael Lenaerts made the call from the Big Blind, and so did Munoz.
After an initial check from Lenaerts on the Q♠9♦8♦ flop, Munoz bet 10,000. Georgiev folded before Lenaerts made the call. The 6♦ brought some action; Lenaerts checked, Munoz bet 10,000, Lenaerts raised to 30,000, and Munoz called.
On the 8♠ river, Lenaerts bet 36,000. Munoz moved all in for perhaps 65,000 in total, and Lenaerts snap-called.
Antonio Munoz: K♦Q♦ Raphael Lenaerts: A♦10♦
Quite the cooler for Munoz, and all his chips went to Lenaerts.
PartyPoker Team Pro Jaime Staples has made his way to Casino Gran Via and max-late registered Day 1b of the €500 Main Event. His girlfriend, PartyPoker Tour Ambassador, is currently on the TV table.
Play has resumed in Day 1b of the €500 Main Event, and late registration has closed. This poker.pro live reporter is almost certain this is the biggest-ever starting-day flight of the tour’s flagship tournament in its year-and-a-half-long history. Considering all flights are playing down to 25% of the field, it should be 58 players who make it through to Day 2. This number has to be confirmed by the floor, though.
Considering there’s still Day 1c and Day 1d to go, the prize pool is destined to reach more than double the €100,000 guarantee – by some margin.
It’s dinner break in Day 1b of the €500 Main Event, and it’s the last window for late registration. Below are some of the biggest stacks in the room as of now.
Teodor Genov opened to 4,000 from the Lo-jack before Pedro Timiraos made it 10,000 from the Button. PartyPoker Tour Ambassador Daniel Garcia then four-bet to 25,000. Genov ssiwftly got out of the way, while Timiraos contemplated his decision for two, three minutes. Eventually, he decided to let his hand go, revealing his J♣J♥ holdings. Being a good sport, Garcia flashed Q♦Q♥ before stacking his newly won chips.
Click above to watch the live-streamed TV table. 2026 PartyPoker Tour Sheffield £500 Main Event champion Siddharta Sidunagunta just saw down; the stream is on a 30-minute delay, so in half an hour, you can follow Sidunagunta’s campaign for a second PartyPoker Tour Main Event title.
David Lappin entailed the story of another big hand to this poker.pro live reporter.
Lappin opened to 1,600 UTG, and Alex Goya defended his Big Blind. Goya check-called a 1,700 continuation bet from Lappin on the Q♥8♣5♦ flop. It was then Goya who took the aggressive lead with a 3,500 bet on the 4♠ turn. Lappin called, and the dealer revealed the dull 2♦ river. Goya fired a 10,700 bet, two thirds of the pot, and Lappin made the call.
Alex Goya: 9♠7♣ David Lappin: A♣4♣
A sublime call from Lappin, who had a good stack going into Level 7.
This poker.pro live reporter was wandering between the tables and noticed David Lappin’s impressive stack. Lappin was kind enough to tell a crucial hand.
Lappin opened to 1,200 UTG, then called a 3,900 three-bet from Jack Sambrook (Hi-jack). After a check from Lappin on the J♦10♣10♠ flop, Sambrook bet 5,000. Lappin completed a check-raise move to 12,000, and Sambrook made the call. Lappin continued on the aggressive path with a 20,500 bet on the 6♦ turn. Sambrook called, and on the 5♣ river, Lappin bet a hefty 46,300, leaving himself with 1,500 behind. Sambrook made the call.
Lappin tabled J♥J♠, then raked in the massive pot as Sambrook mucked his hand.
The board read 5♠5♦2♥A♠3♣ with 26,000 in the middle. PartyPoker Tour Ambassador Rebecca Hardisty (UTG) bet a hefty 21,000, and after twisting and turning in his chair for one minute, Roberto Pavon (Hi-jack) made the call.
Rebecca Hardisty: J♥J♦ Roberto Pavon: A♥J♣
A pair of aces was good, and Pavon got some chips from Hardisty who is back to starting stack.
The numbers of entries in Day 1b of the €500 Main Event keeps increasing. More notable names in the field are four players who were on the final table of the €150 Mini Main Event yesterday; Mykhaylo Hrytsyk (fourth, €5,750), Alexander “Wishiper96” Georgiev (fifth, €4,000), Pedro Timiraos (seventh, €2,500), and David Aviles (ninth, €1,600). Others are 2025 PartyPoker Tour Manchester £500 Main Event winner Deniz Orhan and Jonathan Rees, who finished 11th in the €500 Main Event during the 2026 PartyPoker Tour Seville roughly two months ago.
Jon Baraiazarra moved all in for 9,075,000 on the Button. Federico Estrada Mazzarella made the call from the Big Blind, hoping to capture the title.
Jon Baraiazarra: K♦10♦ Federico Estrada Mazzarella: 6♥6♦
The A♠4♣7♥8♥5♠ runout benefited the pocket pair, and that settled it. Baraiazarra was eliminated in second place for €11,100, and Estrada Mazzarella claimed the €16,550 first-place payout, the coveted trophy, and the prestigious €150 Mini Main Event title.
That’s a wrap for the poker.pro coverage this Thursday. A longer recap of today’s action will be posted tomorrow. In the meantime, enjoy the full results of the tournament below.
Jon Baraiazarra opened to 1,600,000 from the Small Blind. Kevin Lezcano defended his Big Blind.
Baraiazarra continued for 1,000,000 on the 6♠A♦9♠ flop. Lezcano moved all in for 4,175,000, and after a minute’s worth of consideration, Baraiazarra made the call.
Kevin Lezcano: Q♣6♣ Joe Baraiazarra: J♥J♣
A sublime call under pressure from Baraiazarra, and as the board completed with J♦K♠, he eliminated Lezcano in third place for €8,400.
Kevin Lezcano opened to 1,200,000 on the Button. After a fold from Federico Estrada Mazzarella in the Small Blind, Jon Baraiazarra moved all in for 5,900,000. Lezcano made the call for the larger chunk of his stack.
Jon Baraiazarra: A♦4♣ Kevin Lezcano: A♣5♥
A chopped pot wasn’t looking unlikely, but it was Baraiazarra who benefited from the Q♠4♦10♦ flop. No help for Lezcano on the 6♣K♥ runout, and Baraiazarra won a considerable pot.
Jon Baraiazarra: 12,700,000 Kevin Lezcano: 6,375,000
Kevin Lezcano min-raised to 1,000,000 UTG, and Federico Estrada Mazzarella made the call from the Small Blind. Mykhaylo Hrytsyk then moved all in for 4,250,000 from the Big Blind. Lezcano mucked before Estrada Mazzarella made the call.
The smallest stack on the table, Mykhaylo Hrytsyk, moved all in for 2,000,000 on the Button. Federico Estrada Mazzarella made the call from the Big Blind.
2025 PartyPoker Tour Leaderboard winner Alexander “Wishiper96” Georgiev open-shoved 1,750,000 from UTG. Kevin Lezcano made the call from the Cut-off, and the two of them soon tabled their holdings.
Alexander Georgiev: K♣6♠ Kevin Lezcano: A♦7♠
Georgiev was, literally, praying to hit a king after he saw the J♥7♦3♥ flop. The poker Gods didn’t listen as they delivered the 4♣9♠ runout, and Georgiev settled for €4,000 after finishing fifth.
Action folded all the way to Alberto Area in the Small Blind, who moved all in for €5,400,000. Federico Estrada Mazzarella made the call from the Big Blind.
Alberto Area: A♥7♥ Federico Estrada Mazzarella: A♦K♦
Estrada Mazzarella extended his lead on the Q♠Q♣K♥ flop, and sealed the deal on the 8♠ turn. After the irrelevant 10♣, Area went to collect his €3,100 for finishing in sixth place.
Federico Estrada Mazzarella: 15,325,000 Alberto Area: 0
Jon Baraiazarra raised to 2,500,000 from the Hi-jack, leaving himself with 1,350,000 behind. Chip leader Kevin Lezcano moved all in for 11,475,000 from the Small Blind, and Baraiazarra made the call.
Joe Baraiazarra: A♠Q♣ Kevin Lezcano: A♥10♦
The board spelled out 8♥K♣K♦4♥3♦, and Baraiazarra secured a full double-up.
Joe Baraiazarra: 8,500,000 Kevin Lezcano: 7,625,000
Action folded to Federico Estrada Mazzarella, who open-shoved for 6,675,000 from the Cut-off. Pedro Timiraos peeked at his hole cards in the Big Blind, then instantly made the call.
Federico Estrada Mazzarella: J♠J♣ Pedro Timiraos: A♦Q♥
It was a classic coin flip confrontation. The fishhooks of Estrada Mazzarella were good on the 10♦J♥7♣2♥6♣ board, and Timiraos was eliminated in seventh place for €2,500.
Federico Estrada Mazzarella: 9,925,000 Pedro Timiraos: 0
The very next hand after getting his aces cracked, Joaquin Ortiz moved all in for 900,000 from UTG+1. Action folded to Pedro Timiraos in the Big Blind, who made the call.
Joaquin Ortiz: J♦10♠ Pedro Timiraos: 2♥2♦
Timiraos’ ducks were unthreatened in the 6♦9♠A♠4♦8♦ pond, and Ortiz became the second one to bid farewell from the final table, earning €2,000 for his eighth-place finish.
Mykhaylo Hrytsyk open-shoved for 2,325,000 from UTG+1. Seated right next to him, Joaquin Ortiz made the call, and the two of them were soon heads-up to the flop.
Mykhaylo Hrytsyk: 9♦9♣ Joaquin Ortiz: A♠A♦
Ortiz had his opponent in rough shape with the goods, but Hrytsyk flopped a full house on J♥9♠J♣. Ortiz was unable to reclaim the driver’s seat on the K♦10♥ runout, and Hrytsuk secured a full double-up, taking a big chunk out of the Ortiz stack.
Seated in the Hi-jack, David Aviles open-shoved for 1,275,000. Action folded to chip leader Kevin Lezcano in the Big Blind, who figured he was priced in to make the call.
David Aviles: Q♣10♦ Kevin Lezcano: 7♥5♠
Lezcano managed to connect on the 5♦6♥K♣ board, and Aviles didn’t catch up on the 4♣A♣ runout. As such, Aviles became the first casualty of the final table, earning €1,600 for his ninth-place finish, as Lezcano added to his already impressive stack.
Action folded to Alexander “Wishiper96” Georgiev, who moved in for 2,075,000 from the Hi-jack. Mykhaylo Hrytsyk re-shoved for 4,950,000 from the Small Blind, and the two were soon heads-up to the flop.
Alexander Georgiev: 9♥9♦ Mykhaylo Hrytsyk: A♦K♦
The board ran out 7♠3♥Q♥J♠9♠, and Georgiev managed to double up again.
Alexander Georgiev: 4,650,000 Mykhaylo Hrytsyk: 2,875,000
UTG, Alexander “Wishiper96” Georgiev moved all in for 1,200,000. Action folded all the way to Jon Baraiazarra, who made the call from the Big Blind.
Alexander Georgiev: 8♥8♣ Jon Baraiazarra: A♦Q♦
It was a classic coin flip confrontation, and as the board spelled out 3♠J♣6♠2♠4♥, Georgiev secured a full double-up. He didn’t get the earlier bad beat get to him, and he’s still a fearsome competitor.

Seated UTG+2, Alexander “Wishiper96” Georgiev opened to 425,000. Kevin Lezcano then three-bet to 1,150,000 from the Small Blind. Action eventually folded back to Georgiev, who moved all in for 5,325,000. Lezcano snap-called, playing 4,975,000.
Alexander Georgiev: K♠K♦ Kevin Lezcano: Q♠Q♣
A sick cooler at the early stages of the final table, and Georgiev didn’t produce a miracle as the board spelled out 2♠5♠3♠3♣A♦. Lezcano secured a decent chip lead, as Georgiev was left with crumbs.
Kevin Lezcano: 10,350,000 Alexander Georgiev: 350,000
Action folded to Alberto Martinez, who opened to 300,000 on the Button. Edin Hrnjic then moved all in for 300,000 from the Small Blind, and Jon Baraiazarra re-shoved for roughly 2,200,000 from the Big Blind. Martinez folded, and the two contestants turned over their cards.
Edin Hrnjic: 8♥2♦ Jon Baraiazarra: K♦J♦
Hrnjic had moved all in without looking at his cards. He had two live ones, but Baraiazarra took a commanding lead on the 6♥K♥A♠ flop. The 7♦5♠ runout ultimately sealed Hrnjic’s fate, and he went out in twelth place for €1,000.
The poker.pro live blog is currently only covering the outer table, seeing as the other table is being live-streamed on PartyPoker’s YouTube channel with a 30-minute delay. The poker.pro live reporter Christoffer Karlén will soon post the link to the stream (as soon as it’s live).
Action folded to Pedro Timiraos on the Small Blind, who forced David Aviles (Big Blind) all in for 1,825,000. Aviles looked at his hand, then immideately made the call.
Pedro Timiraos: K♠10♣ David Aviles: K♣K♥
The Q♥5♥5♠7♥A♦ didn’t bring a threat to Aviles’ cowboys, and he received a full double-up.
Today is the most recent updated list of today’s eliminations. On the “Results” tab, you can see all the results from the €150 Mini Main Event, as well as all the side events.
Seated UTG, Javier Alvaro open-shoved for 935,000. After some consideration, Sergio Marquez re-shoved for perhaps 1,500,000 from the Hi-jack. Federico Mazzarella snap-four-bet-jammed from the Cut-off, and having both of his opponents at risk, it was time for a three-way showdown pre-flop.
Javier Alvaro: A♥Q♣ Sergio Marquez: A♠Q♠ Federico Mazzarella: K♠K♦
What a dream for Mazzarella, and the 5♥K♥Q♠ flop didn’t make matters worse. The board completed with 2♣10♣, and Mazzarella sent two players to the rail. He’ll most likely be the chip leader at the upcoming break.
Federico Mazzarella: 4,825,000 Sergio Marquez: 0 Javier Alvaro: 0
Seated UTG+1, Ander Paskual open-shoved for 950,000. Mykhaylo Hrytsyk made the call from the Lo-jack, and the two of them were soon heads-up to the flop.
Ander Paskual: 4♣4♥ Mykhaylo Hrytsuk: A♣K♥
Hrytsuk immediately claimed the driver’s seat on the 7♦Q♠K♦ flop, and Paskual wasn’t able to catch up on the 9♦3♦ runout. For his sixteenth-place finish, Paskual was awarded €825.
Diego Jimenez Corzo opened to 230,000 UTG. Joaquin Rico then moved all in for 1,675,000 from UTG+2. When action came back to Corzo, he called without hesitation.
Joaquin Rico: 5♦5♣ Diego Corzo: A♠K♥
Even though picking up additional outs on the 3♦J♥10♣ flop, Corzo wasn’t able to connect on the 2♦8♦ runout. The dealer counted the stacks, and as it turned out, Corzo survived with 100,000. On the very next hand, he was forced all in, seated in the Big Blind. Javier Alvaro opened to 225,000 from the Lo-jack, and the two of them soon tabled their holdings.
Javier Alvaro: Q♠J♠ Diego Corzo: Q♣4♠
As if Corzo wasn’t already drawing slim, things didn’t look better on the J♦3♥K♦ flop. The 7♥3♦ runout ultimately sealed his fate, and he was eliminated in seventeenth place for €825.
Joaquin Rico: 3,135,000 Javier Alvaro: 1,200,000 Diego Corzo: 0
Pedro Timiraos opened to 200,000 from the Cut-off, and Olivian Vadean defended his Big Blind.
First to act, Vadean checked the 4♣4♠3♥ flop. Timiraos bet 125,000, then was faced with a check-raise to 275,000. Timiraos made the call, and on the 7♦ turn, Vadean bet 320,000. Timiraos moved all in for 450,000; Vadean sighed before making the call, being priced in.
Pedro Timiraos: A♣A♦ Olivian Vadean: 10♠9♠
Vadean was drawing dead, but for ceremonial purposes, the dealer dealt the 7♥ river. Moments before Timiraos’ double-up, Luis Diaz went out in nineteenth place for €675, and the tournament is now down to its final two tables.
Olivian Vadean: 2,440,000 Pedro Timiraos: 2,100,000
Kevin Lezcano, who started Day 3 as the chip leader, opened to 200,000 from the Cut-off. Alberto Lopez moved all in for perhaps 300,000 from the Big Blind, and Lezcano naturally made the call.
Alberto Lopez: 9♣8♣ Kevin Lezcano: A♥10♦
Lezcano improved to a pair of tens on the 6♣10♣5♥, but Lopez picked up a straight flush draw. No improvement on the 3♠4♥ runout, though, and Lopez went out in twentieth place for €675.
The only PartyPoker Tour Ambassador left in the field, Joe “The Elegance” Beevers, moved all in for 595,000, after Jon Baraiazarra had opened to 200,000 from the Lo-jack. After receiving the count, Baraiazarra made the call.
Joe Beevers: A♣Q♠ Jon Baraiazarra: K♣J♣
Beevers was ahead by the smallest of margins, but Baraiazarra took a commanding lead on the 3♣6♥J♦ flop. No help for Beevers on the 3♦2♥ runout, and he was eliminated in twenty-second place for €675.
The flop was Q♦6♥8♣. Muhammet Ekici (Big Blind) checked it over to Mykhaylo Hrytsyk (Hi-jack) who bet 120,000. Ekici then completed a check-raise move to 400,000. Hrytsyk forved his opponent all in for perhaps 900,000 in total, and Ekici made the call.
Mykhaylo Hrytsyk: K♦Q♣ Muhammed Ekici: Q♠9♠
Ekici received no help on the 8♠2♥ runout, and he was eliminated in twenty-fourth place for €675.
Action folded to small-stacked Pablo Penacoba in the Small Blind, who moved all in for 260,000. After receiving the county, Ander Paskual made the call from the Big Blind.
Pablo Penacoba: J♣10♥ Ander Paskual: Q♣7♣
The 4♣K♥6♥ flop wasn’t great for Penacoba. He was on the verge of being eliminated on the 6♦ turn, but a lucky J♠ river kept him alive.
Day 3 of the €150 Mini Main Event is underway, and the players are resuming the fight for the €19,120 up top, alongside the trophy and the title.
During one of the first hands, Marc Gaitan opened to 505,000 from the Small Blind, leaving himself with 50,000 behind. Alexander “Wishiper96” Georgiev forced him all in from the Small Blind, and Gaitan made the call.
Alexander Georgiev: Q♣Q♦ Marc Gaitan: J♥J♠
No help for Gaitan’s fishhooks as the board spelled out 7♠5♣K♣2♣10♠, and he became the first casualty of Day 3, going out in twenty-seventh place for €575.
It’s the fourth day of the 2026 PartyPoker Tour Madrid, and it’s going to be a big one. While the €500 Main Event will kick off with its first starting-day flights, accompanied by a few side events on the schedule, the final day of the €150 Mini Main Event has to be considered the star of the show.
What a tournament this has been thus far. Nine hundred eighty-eight entries have created a €114,750 prize pool; more than double the €50,000 guarantee. Day 1a broke the record (309 entries), becoming the biggest-ever starting-day flight of the tournament that has been a part of all PartyPoker Tour Stops. The record stood for 24 hours before Day 1b registered 314 entries. Coming close to 1,000 entries in total, the tournament is proof not only that the Spanish live poker scene is hot and heavy, but also that the PartyPoker Tour has come a long way, establishing itself as a one-of-a-kind live poker circuit in just a year and a half.
Day 3 will kick off at 19:00, with 27 players returning. Spaniard Kevin Lezcano has earned himself the best presumptions for a deep run, beginning the final day as the chip leader with 3,000,000. It won’t be a walk in the park, though; 2025 PartyPoker Tour Leaderboard winner Alexander “Wishiper96” Georgiev also has a very healthy stack, as is the case with the UK’s Edin Hrnjic. During the 2026 PartyPoker Tour Sheffield in January, Georgiev finished second, and Hrnjic finished third; they’re both out for redemption.
PartyPoker Tour Ambassador/poker legend Joe Beevers is also still in the mix. During Blinds 25,000/50,000, Beevers was down to 30,000. Two hands later, he had 560,000. Entering Day 3 with 10 Big Blinds, there is at least some wiggle room for “The Elegance” to work with.

Level 25 has concluded, meaning Day 2 of the €150 Mini Main Event has come to an end. The 135 players who started the flight have been reduced to 27, and those will return tomorrow (Thursday, May 14) at 19:00 and play it out for the trophy. That is also when the poker.pro live coverage will kick off.
Said coverage is wrapped up for the day, though. The poker.pro editorial office will soon be back with the Day 3 chip counts. In the meantime, enjoy all the results from today below, and we’ll see you all tomorrow at 19:00 for the raffling conclusion.
Action folded to Aldara Fernandez, who moved all in for 165,000 on the Button. Bruno Vilela made the call from the Big Blind.
Aldara Fernandez: J♦J♠ Bruno Vilela: A♠K♦
Fernandez wasn’t thrilled to see the K♣ in the window, but as the full K♣Q♣J♥ flop revealed itself, things were looking brighter. Viela didn’t catch up on the 8♣2♠ runout, and Fernandez received the full double-up.
Thomas Sanderson, winner of the £500 Main Event during the 2025 PartyPoker Tour London Winter Edition. Photo: Nunzia Esposito

Robert Douras, winner of the £150 Mini Main Event during the 2025 PartyPoker Tour Birmingham. Photo: Nunzia Esposito

There are poker origin stories, and then there is Dr Angela Rogan’s.
Long before poker tours, televised final tables, and online satellites, Angela was an 11-year-old girl sitting in a Belfast taxi depot waiting for a ride home. The taxis were delayed because the drivers were all playing poker.
So she joined them.
“I said, well, I might as well play then. I’ll have to wait till the game’s over.”
That was it. The beginning of a lifetime in poker.
Back then, the games were not Texas Hold’em. Angela remembers the old dealer’s choice formats: Railroad, Southern Cross, Big Heart Brag. Loose cash games played deep into the night inside Belfast taxi depots before poker exploded into the mainstream.
“I spent most of my teenage years in that taxi depot. I was there four nights a week with my bag of 10 pences and 20 pences. I just loved it.”
Poker Before the Boom
Angela was already grinding long before the poker boom transformed the game in the early 2000s.
When Hold’em finally arrived and poker clubs began appearing across the UK and Ireland, she quickly became a familiar face on the circuit. But there was one major difference between Angela and most of the players around her.
She was almost always the only woman in the room.
“I took a lot of abuse at the poker tables because there weren’t very many female poker players at the time.”
Some of the stories she tells feel almost unbelievable now. Men referring to their wives as “her indoors.” Explicit material being passed around tables during games. Constant questioning about why a woman would even want to play poker.
And yet she kept showing up.
“I find that one of the biggest changes now is that there’s an understanding that this isn’t acceptable anymore.”
That shift matters deeply to her. Returning to poker years later, she says the atmosphere feels transformed.
“The sexism is gone. That has really boosted my own confidence.”
Four Children Under Five… and Winning Anyway
Angela’s poker journey happened alongside motherhood, family life, and eventually academia.
At one point, she had four children under the age of five while still travelling around the UK and Ireland playing poker.

“My husband went ballistic,” she laughs.
He struggled with the idea of her spending nights in poker clubs surrounded by men. Eventually, Angela taught him to play too, though poker would ultimately become part of a much bigger transformation in her life.
Today, she is remarried to what she describes as “a really great guy” who may not love poker himself but does love travelling with her.
And travel has become a huge part of her life.
The Academic Who Returned to Poker
One of the most striking things about Angela is the sheer scale of her achievements away from the tables.
After the devastating loss of her granddaughter in 2016, she decided to return to education and complete the degree she had never had the chance to do earlier in life.
She graduated with the highest results across the entire university.
Then came a fully funded master’s degree, followed by a PhD.
Today, Dr Angela Rogan lectures at Queen’s University Belfast in criminology, sociology, medical law, and statistical analysis.
“The only reason I teach statistical analysis is because nobody else wants to do it,” she jokes. “But I figure it’s good for poker.”
And poker, it turns out, never really left.
Once her PhD was completed and her children had grown up, Angela found herself drawn back to the game.
Now she is back on the live circuit — and cashing immediately.
“I’m only back playing and I already have over £10,000 in tournament cashes.”
Teaching the Next Generation
One of the most moving parts of Angela’s story is the relationship she now has with her 18-year-old son, whom she is teaching to play poker.
“The best way to teach him is to show him how to bring the trophies home.”
The results have been immediate.
At his very first Irish Poker Tour event, he finished sixth and won £3,500.
“He literally turned 18 a couple of weeks ago,” Angela says proudly.
Together they are now travelling the poker circuit as a family team, combining poker with travel, competition, and adventure.
Why PartyPoker Tour Appeals
Angela says one of the biggest draws of the PartyPoker Tour is accessibility.
“The buy-ins attracted me because my son is a novice.”
For newer players and recreational travellers, the tour creates a bridge between serious poker and a more welcoming live environment. And for Angela, the social aspect matters too.
“I’m recognising other women now. There’s a real sense of community.”
That community element is something she repeatedly returns to throughout our conversation. The ability to reconnect with familiar faces from stop to stop, city to city.
Malta Success and Madrid Ambitions
Angela arrived in Madrid for the PartyPoker Tour, powered by VibeLive, fresh off a successful trip to Malta, where she cashed the Main Event and won the Ladies Event trophy.
And she was not in Madrid simply to make up the numbers.
At the time we spoke, she was chip leader in the Mini Main Event.
“I feel very focused.”
It is difficult not to be swept up by her energy. She speaks with the confidence of someone who genuinely loves the game, not simply the results.
And perhaps that is why her story feels so compelling.
Poker for Angela was never just about money.
It became survival, independence, identity, travel, mathematics, community, and eventually reinvention.
From Belfast taxi depots to university lecture halls to live poker trophies across Europe, hers is the kind of story that reminds you why poker remains so endlessly fascinating.
Because sometimes the most remarkable people at the tables are the ones whose stories you would never expect.
The PartyPoker Tour Madrid event was powered by VibeLive.
Another PartyPoker Tour Ambassador has joined the mix, namely Rebecca Hardisty. Rumors also has it that Barry Carter will late reg the second starting-day flight. Below are the current chip counts of the three ambassadors who’s in right now.
Apart from the two PartyPoker Tour Ambassadors currently in Day 1b of the €500 Main Event (Natalie Bromley and Daniel Garcia), there are a few more recognizable names in the field. 2025 PartyPoker Tour Leaderboard winner Alexander Georgiev (who finished fifth in the €150 Mini Main Event yesterday) and WSOP Circuit Ring winner Franky Green are both in the field, competing for eternal poker glory.
PartyPoker Tour Ambassador Natalie Bromley opened to 700 UTG. Terry Plummer made the call from the Lo-jack before Leo Santos three-bet to 3,000 from the Small Blind. As if it wasn’t already intriguing enough, Javier Alvaro four-bet to 10,200 from the Big Blind. Back to Bromley, who wasted little time before five-bet shoving for 43,500. Plummer quickly got out of the way; Santos spent some time in the tank before mucking. Alvaro then immideately made the call.
Natalie Bromley: K♥K♦ Javier Alvaro: A♥K♣
Not a nightmare scenario for Bromley, and no ace or any other shenanigans on the 3♠7♣8♥9♠2♠ flop. The PartyPoker Tour Ambassadors seem to be off to a good start in Day 1b of the €500 Main Event, seeing as Daniel Garcia trippled up the first hand just moments before Bromley’s big hand.
Kevin Brzozowski opened to 600 from UTG+2. Antonio Munoz (Lo-jack) made the call before Francisco Garcia three-bet to 1,800 from the Cut-off. Both of his opponents made the call.
All three players swiftly checked the A♦8♣10♣ flop. Brzozowski bet 1,800 on the 2♠ turn, and, again, everyone called. Action then went check-check-check on the 2♦ river.
First to show, Brzozowski tabled A♥Q♣, which was enough to take down the pot.

The poker.pro live reporter Christoffer Karlén is now ready to hit the floor, covering every knook and cranny of the €500 Main Event. Apologies for the slight delay.
The flagship tournament has already surpassed its €100,000 guarantee, which is marvelous news. In Day 1b, there are currently some recognizeable names, such as PartyPoker Tour Ambassador Natalie Bromley and Irish poker legend David Lappin.
Lappin opened to 500 from UTG+1, and Atlan Sam decided to defend his Big Blind. Sam checked the 10♦2♦8♣ flop, and Lappin continued for 400. Sam then completed a check-raise move to 1,400, and Lappin made the call rather swiftly.
Action went check-check on the K♣ turn, 200. Sam bet very small on the Q♦ river, and Lappin made the call. Sam tabled J♣10♥ for the straight, and Lappin mucked.
Day 1a of the €500 Main Event attracted 173 entries. Below are the chip counts for those 43 who made it through to Day 2, which includes PartyPoker Tour Ambassadors/poker legends Niall “Firaldo” Farrell and Barny Boatman.
It’s the fifth day of the 2026 PartyPoker Tour Madrid, and it’s a sunny Friday in the Spanish capital. For the last couple of days, poker.pro live reporter Christoffer Karlén has been covering the €150 Mini Main Event. The said tournament wrapped up late night, and now, it’s time to focus on the star of the show: the €500 Main Event.
Day 1b is just about to kick off, with 46 players in for the get-go. Yesterday’s inaugural flight scored 173 entries, setting another record for the biggest-ever starting-day flight of this flagship tournament of the tour. The expectations are high for Day 1b, which is playing down to 25% of the field.
This journalist has a little back-office work to do before jumping into the coverage. Stay tuned; first and foremost, the DAy 1a chip counts will be uploaded in just a few minutes.
