Comely Flops Enough

I arrived at the table with the action on the turn and the board reading 9♠8♦6♣2♥. It checked around to Trevor Cameron in the cutoff and he bet 3,800 only to see Ryan Comely check-raise to 8,500.

Cameron put in the call and they both checked the J♥ river. Comely showed ace-nine for he flopped top pair and Cameron mucked his hand.
