Action was caught after the turn came the 5♣J♥8♥4♣, and Will Kassouf checked from the big blind. Late position fired for 25,000, and Kassouf commented that it was “getting expensive for a gutshot.” Still, he made the call.
The river was the 6♦, and Kassouf put his opponent all in for his remaining 38,100. They went into the tank, but eventually found the call. Their J♣10♣ was bested by Kassouf’s 7♥7♣. Also on the table was PartyPoker Ambassador Matt Staples.
Will Kassouf: 404,500
Matt Staples: 272,000
