Action folded to Niall “Firaldo” Farrell, who opened to 5,000 from the Cut-off. The Big Blind made the call, and then checked the K♣2♠Q♥. “Quattro,” Firaldo said with his Scottish accent as he continued for 4,000, and his opponent decided to make the call. “I don’t know more than that,” Firaldo admitted that his Spanish vocabulary is somewhat limited. “Paso,” he was taught to say on the 6♦, following his opponent’s move. Action also went check-check on the 4♥ river.
The opponent turned over Q♦8♥; while Firaldo may have lost the small pot, he increased his Spanish vocabulary by at least 100 %.
