Action folded to Karen Balbi, who min-raised to 8,000 from the Button. Italian Giovanni Antonino re-raised to 19,000, and when action came back to Balbi, she made the call.
Antonino stayed on the aggressive path, continuing for 19,000 on the 6♣6♠J♥ board. Balbi made the call, and the dealer turned over the 5♣ on the turn. Action went check-check, and déjà vu on the 2♥ river.
“Pocket sevens?” Antonino asked his opponent as he revealed his A♣K♥ holdings. Balbi shook her head as she threw her two cards into the muck.
Giovanni Antonino: 325,000
Karen Balbi: 212,000
