Adil Nawaz opened to 65,000 from the hijack, and received a call from Niall Farrell in the cutoff, before Sidharth Menda three-bet jammed from the button for 335,000. Nawaz rejammed and Farrell got out of the way.
Sidharth Menda: A♦Q♦ Adil Nawaz: J♦J♥
It was off to the races, but the queen was in the window on the Q♥10♣2♥ flop, and matters were not altered by the 3♣ turn or 8♣ river.
Ardian Veliu opened to 25,000 from the lojack, and was met with a three-bet to 75,000 from Dean Clay in the cutoff. Action folded back to Veliu, who called.
The Q♥8♥8♠ flop was checked through to the 7♦ turn, where Veliu fired out a bet of 25,000, which failed to shake off Clay.
The J♠ river was checked through, and Veliu took the pot with J♣10♠ for the rivered two pair, jacks and eights, versus Clay’s A♠K♠.
The following players will not be lifting the Mini Main Event trophy, including Player of the Year leader Alexander Georgiev, who banks some valuable additional points:-
Sofia Irene limped under the gun, and called a raise to 30,000 from Taliesin Kiwanuka in the next seat when action folded back to her.
On the K♠J♠6♣ flop, Irene check-called a bet of 30,000 from her opponent.
The same pattern followed on the Q♣ turn, this time in respect of a bet of 60,000 from Kiwanuka.
The 2♣ river completed the board, and Irene changed approach, leading out with a bet of 175,000. Kiwanuka took two time banks before calling, and smiled wryly and was forced to muck when Irene showed A♣J♣ for the runner-runner nut flush.
Sofia Irene – 1,045,000 Taliesin Kiwanuka – 105,000
Daniel Sumile was scooping up a big pot, and Seyed Hosseinizad was getting up out of his chair, after Sumile’s A♣A♥ held against Hosseinizad’s A♠J♠ on the 8♦7♥3♥3♦10♥ runout.
“That’s why you limp aces man, I didn’t even have to do anything”, remarked Sumile.
The poker.pro £60 buy-in Sviten tournament is underway, with 33 entrants obtained so far, and 20 players remain seated.
Late registration is open until the end of Level 8, just after 10:30 p.m. local time, and PartyPoker Ambassador Sam Acheampong is among those still in the mix.
Sukhdev Singh opened to 40,000 from the hijack, and was met with a three-bet jam to 226,000 from Yixuan Xu on the button.
Sebastian Constable was in the small blind, and he took a time bank, before cold four-bet jamming for around 310,000. Singh folded, stating he had ace-queen.
Yixuan Xu: 7♣7♥ Sebastian Constable: Q♣Q♠
Xu had run into the goods, and there was no two-outer on the K♠10♠2♣6♣3♠ runout.
In a battle of the blinds between Niall Farrell and Daniel Sumile, around 44,000 was in the middle by the turn on a board of Q♠9♥9♣6♣.
Farrell checked and Sumile fired out a bet of 15,000. Farrell responded with a check-raise to 60,000, and after some thought, Sumile was forced to fold, saying “I’ve only got a gutshot, man.”
Xiaochun Chen opened to 10,000 under the gun, and received a call from Dost Ghrabie in the small blind, before Amber Loader reached for chips and produced a three-bet to 32,000 from the big blind.
Chen used a time bank before folding, but Ghrabie made the call.
On the 9♦7♠2♣ flop, Ghrabie checked, and Loader fired out a bet of 25,000. Ghrabie check-jammed with the covering stack, and Loader quickly called off for her 156,000 total stack,
Amber Loader: K♥K♣ Dost Grahbie: Q♥Q♣
It was a cowboys against ladies cooler, and there was no miracle two-outer for Grahbie on the 4♥3♣ runout.
A chunky pot of around 250,000 had developed on a flop of Q♠J♣6♥, and Michael Hewes was all-in for 257,000 and at risk against Marian Sirbu.
Michael Hewes: A♠K♥ Marian Sirbu: A♥A♣
Hewes was drawing to a gutshot, and much to Sirbu’s disbelief and disgust, the 10♦ hit on the turn to leave him drawing to a chop. The 2♥ river completed the board, confirming Hewes’ double-up.
PartyPoker Players Championship Malta Main Event winner Oliver Hutchins starts the day with a top ten stack of 486,000, while PartyPoker Ambassdor Glenn Brown amassed a healthy 338,000.
The Mini Main Event winner from London in April, Dost Gharbie (235,000) is in the mix, as is Player of the Year front runner Alexander Georgiev (111,000).
Luke Newman opened to 10,000 from the cutoff, and was met with a three-bet to 22,000 from the Taliesin Kiwanuk on the button. Giorgio Salemi cold-called in the big blind, and Newman came along for the ride.
The 10♥6♣2♦ flop was checked to Kiwanuk, who fired out a bet of 14,000, which only Newman called.
The 2♥ turn paired the board, and Newman check-called a double-barrel of 18,000 from his opponent.
The A♥ hit on the river, and was quickly checked through. Newman tabled J♣10♦ for two pair, tens and deuces, and that was good versus Kiwanuk’s K♣J♦.
Luke Newman – 240,000 Taliesin Kiwanuka – 435,000 Giorgio Salemi – 340,000
After six starting flights of the £150 buy-in, £50,000 guaranteed Mini Main Event gained 726 entries, creating a £90,750 prize pool, J.N. has his eyes firmly set on the top prize of £14,530, after rising to the top of the standings to lead 111 qualifiers into Day 2, which kicks off at 6:30 p.m. today.
J.N. accumulated an impressive total of 1,030,000 from his 40,000 starting stack, and he is just ahead of Lotfi Boughanmi (914,000), while A.N. completes the podium places on 650,000. All Day 2 players are in the money and guaranteed a minimum cash of £300.

Stay tuned to poker.pro for all your coverage of the 2025 PartyPoker Tour London Mini Main Event Day 2.
After an impressive debut season kicked off in April at the Genting Casino Stratford, London, the 2025 PartyPoker Tour comes back to the same venue for its season-ending finale, running 14-21 December. An intriguing battle for the coveted Player of the Year title is on the cards, with Alexander Georgiev leading the way at present, and plenty of points available across a packed schedule covering all poker variants.

The previous four stops produced four separate winners in the flagship tournament, the £500 buy-in, £100,000 guaranteed Main Event. Big numbers ensured that figure was breached at each location, with players also flocking to the £150 buy-in, £50,000 guaranteed Mini Main.
Getnet Kassa became the inaugural PartyPoker Tour champion, triumphing in London for a £38,408 payday, while Deniz Orhan succeeded him in Manchester for a £19,843 score.

Zhen Zhen overcame a stacked final table in Glasgow, including David Lappin and PartyPoker ambassador Jaime Staples, to become the first female winner, boosting her bankroll by £22,500, while Tai Hoang locked-up £27,420 after victory at the penultimate stop in Birmingham. The win capped a remarkable week for Hoang, who also finished runner-up in the Mini Main for £9,080.
Despite a lack of Main Event silverware, Bulgarian Georgiev tops the 2025 PartyPoker Tour leaderboard heading into the final stop, with a £5,000 package up for grabs. Georgiev has racked up nine cashes, including three victories in side events, among four final table appearances.
Georgiev holds a 50-point lead over Orhan, with PartyPoker ambassadors Matt and Jaime Staples not far behind, while Will Kassouf is also in the mix, the top 15 players being eligible for prizes.
