After emerging victorious in the short Heads Up-battle against Danny Ball, Qing Zheng is now crowned the winner of the £280 THMC Nottingham Main Event. Not only does he walk away with a £20,500 paycheck, but he also wins a $1,500 Cape Town package.
The poker.pro team will soon return with a recap of the day, where we’ll also post the full payouts. We thank everyone who’s been tuning into the live blog during the weekend. Also, big shoutout to Dusk Till Dawn as well as the Hendon Mob; it’s been a great experience.
Mihaela Grasu went all in from the Cut-off for roughly 5,000,000. When action came to Artur Cracuin in the Big Blind, he made the call, being the player at risk.
Mihaela Grasu: A♥A♣ Artur Cracuin: A♠K♠
Brutal scenario for Cracuin! He got some hope on the 5♠3♣Q♠ flop, but in the end, victory belonged to Grasu on the completed 5♠3♣Q♠5♥8♦ board.
The current chip leader Qing Zheng was the first one to kindly dismiss the suggested ICM-deal, with the $1,500 Cape Town package for the winner in consideration.
Between hands, Danny Ball suggested to the other players they should take a look at what an ICM-deal would look like at this stage of the tournament.
Said and done, the tournament director is now doing the mathematics and will present them to the players shortly. No deal has yet been agreed upon, but the players will get to see the numbers and thereafter make a decision.
It should be mentioned however that play will continue no matter what, as the $1,500 Cape Town package can’t be included in a deal.
Alessandro Collaro raised to 800,000 from the Cut-off. When action came to Artur Craciun in the Small Blind, he went all in for 2,525,000. In the Big Blind, Danny Ball contemplated a call, but eventually, he folded. Collaro made the call.
Artur Craciun: J♠J♣ Alessandro Collaro: A♠5♥
No help for Collaro on the 8♥9♥K♠Q♣3♠ runout and Craciun doubled. After the hand, Ball claimed he’d had been the winner, would he have made the call.
Alessandro Collaro: 8,500,000 Artur Craciun: 5,300,000
Alessandro Collaro raised to 600,000 from the Button. Daniel Turner decided to call from the Big Blind.
When the flop came 4♣6♠K♥, Turner decided to go for it and went all in for roughly 1,200,000. Collaro made the call.
Daniel Turner: A♥5♥ Alessandro Collaro: A♥K♣
“Go on, then!”, the Turner rail roared as they headed towards the table to see the tabled hands. “Nevermind, turn back, I’m dead”, Turner replied. The full board read 4♣6♠K♥7♣6♣ and Turner’s Main Event adventure came to an end.
There’s not been much action in the last 30 minutes on the final table. However, Artur Craciun just went all in for roughly 3,000,000 from the Small Blind. Danny Ball called him off from the Big Blind.
Artur Craciun: K♠J♣ Danny Ball: A♦J♦
As the board spelled out 7♠A♥Q♥K♣10♠, the players split the pot betwix them and not much changed.
Timothy Wright went all in for roughly 2,000,000. Then, Mihaela Grasu re-showed for 3,000,000. Daniel Turner then accidentally folded out of turn when the decision was on Qing Zheng. Wright and Grasu didn’t catch this and turned over their cards.
Timothy Wright: K♥J♣ Mihaela Grasu: Q♠Q♥
Zheng announced that he was thinking of calling, but now, his decision was easy as his cards hit the muck. The board ran out Q♦3♦4♣8♣2♦ meaning Grasu was the one to send Wright to the rail. After the hand was over, Zheng revealed he had pocket sevens.
Alessandro Collaro made it 400,000 pre-flop from the Cut-off and Artur Craciun defended his Big Blind.
Craciun checked the J♠4♦6♣ flop prior to Collaro betting 200,000. Craciun then raised to 600,000, and Collaro immediately forced Craciun all in for 2,400,000. After one timebank, Craciun made the call.
Alessandro Collaro: 10♠9♠ Artur Craciun: J♣8♣
The full board spelled out J♠4♦6♣Q♦6♦, which resulted in a double-up for Craciun.

We’ve just witnessed absolutely insane stuff with 10 players remaining in the tournament.
From early position, birthday boy Stephen Docherty moved all in for 1,940,000. Alessandro Collaro made the call from the Small Blind, but then, Douglas Hogan re-shoved for 2,940,000 from the Big Blind. 90 % of the people in Dusk Till Dawn gathered around the table as Collaro made the call.
Stephen Docherty: 6♠6♦ Douglas Hogan: K♥K♠ Alessandro Collaro: J♣J♦
A collective “woooow” emerged around the table as the board presented 3♦Q♦J♥A♥4♠. Such, Collaro eliminated two players. Moments earlier, Michal Szczeblewski busted in place 11, meaning the eight remaining players now are preparing for the final table.
Alessandro Collaro: 11,240,000 Stephen Docherty: 0 Douglas Hogan: 0
We joined the action on a 3♣8♦6♥7♠A♦ board with roughly 2,500,000 already in the pot. Daniel Turner had been put all in for 2,980,000 by Thomas Garment and contemplated a call. Eventually, he threw in the chips.
Thomas Garment: J♣4♣ Daniel Turner: 7♥3♥
With the call, Turner won a pot worthy of gods. He had already taken the cake and on the next hand, he took the crumbs as well, sending Garment to the rails.
Thomas Garment decided to only call from the Small Blind, and Gintautas Razma checked his Big Blind.
Garment bet 120,000 on the A♠Q♦6♥ flop, and Razma made the call. On the 9♥ turn, Garment sized up to 375,000. Razma decided to stick around, and the river 10♣ was dealt. Garment forced Razma all in for roughly 1,000,000 and Razma made the call.
As Garment turned over Q♠9♠, Razma mucked his hand and was sent to the rail.
Qing Zheng opened to 210,000 from the Hi-jack. Nikita Voroncovs decided to go all in for 1,490,000 from the Cut-off and after receiving a count, Zheng made the call.
Nikita Voroncovs: 9♥9♠ Qing Zheng: A♣K♣
The Zheng sun run continues as the board spelled out K♦3♦K♠J♣3♠. Voroncovs hit the rail and Zheng are closing in on an eight-digit stack.
On the last hand before the break, Thomas Garment opened to 160,000 from the Hi-jack. Nikita Voroncovs made the call from the Small Blind.
The flop came 3♠8♥J♦, and Voroncovs checked-called the 125,000 Garment-bet. On the turn, 2♥, action went check-check.
On the river 10♦ Voroncovs bet 200,000, and then, Garment raised, forcing Voroncovs all in. Many players surrounded the table, watching the suspense. Voroncovs used all his timebank chips before folding, begging Garment to show his hand if he was bluffing. Garment slid his cards into the muck, collecting the pot.
Thomas Garment: 4,200,000 Nikita Voroncovs: 600,000
Kieran Plater entered Day 2 with a healthy stack, having topped the chip count after Day 1a. However, a few hands here and there reduced his stack to roughly 600,000.
After Thomas Garment opened to 180,000 from the Cut-off, Plater went all in. Garment made the call.
Kieran Plater: 3♦3♣ Thomas Garment: A♥K♥
It would require the full 7♥10♦J♠8♦Q♥ runout before Garment would have the winning hand. Plater was sent to the rail, and there’s now only two tables left in the Main Event.
On the last hand of Level 8, the board read 4♠J♣A♣6♦ with roughly 450,000 in the middle. David Benoit Janin bet 450,000 and got called both by Timothy Wright and Qing Zheng.
River was the Q♦. Janin bet 350,000, and Wright folded. After using a timebank chip, Zheng put in a raise to 975,000. Janin eventually made the call.
Zheng revealed K♦10♦ for the straight. He received a nod from Janin who showed his A♠Q♥. It’s an educated guess that Zheng is the chipleader.
Qing Zheng: 5,000,000 David Benoit Janin: 1,900,000
Alistair Massie raised to 125,000 from the Small Blind. Right to the left of him, Allan Graham moved all in for 855,000. Massie made the call almost instantly.
Allan Graham: K♦10♣ Alistair Massie: 9♠9♥
The board K♣8♦7♦6♠A♥ favored Graham who left Massie with less than 10 big blinds.
Kieran Plater opened to 150,000 from UTG+1 and was re-raised by Nikita Voroncovs to 400,000 from the Lo-jack. Plater made the call, and the flop came K♥9♦5♦.
Plater checked and Voroncovs went all in for 425,000. After using a timebank, Plater made the call.
Nikita Voroncovs: Q♠Q♣ Kieran Plater: J♦J♥
No jack appeared as the board ran out K♥9♦5♦10♠7♥ and Voroncovs won a big one.
From UTG+1, Timothy Wright made it 110,000. Mateusz Perkowski, seated in the Lo-jack, raised to 325,000 and it was folded back to Wright. He then went all in for 1,350,000, and Perkowski made the call.
Timothy Wright: K♣K♥ Mateusz Perkowski: J♦J♣
No dice for Perkowski on the 9♠Q♥8♦4♣2♥ as a considerate portion of his stack went the way of Wright.

David Benoit Janin raised to 75,000 from the Button. Martyn Frey was seated in the Small Blind and went all in for roughly 400,000. After the Big Blind folded, Janin made the call.
Martyn Frey: K♣K♦ David Benoit Janin: 7♠7♦
“Blergh”, Frey saw as he saw the scary 3♠6♠5♠ flop. “Blergh!”, he continued on the 9♣ turn. “Blerg”, he sighed as the 4♣ fell on the river. He hit the rail and it feels like Janin has been winning steady ever since Day 1a.

As John Bell busted in place 28 right before the break, the remaining 27 players are now on break. The floor commences a seat draw for the final three tables and we’ll reveal the new seatings as fast as possible. We’ll also try to identify some of the biggest stacks in the room.
Daniel Turner made it 80,000 from the Lo-jack and when action came to Michal Szczeblewski in the Big Blind, he went all in for 530,000. Turner called faster than the speed of light.
Michal Szczeblewski: 8♦8♣ Daniel Turner: J♠J♦
Turner didn’t appreciate the river on the 5♣6♥Q♠2♦8♠ runout. Szczeblewski doubled up and make sure we’ll stay on four tables a little longer.
Daniel Turner: 1,800,000 Michal Szczeblewski: 1,100,000
From the Button, Sean McDiarmid raised to 80,000. Daniel Turner defended his Big Blind and the two players went to the flop.
On 4♣10♦Q♦, Turner checked and McDiarmid bet 80,000. Turner then check-raised to 225,000. McDiarmid, not having much more in his stack than Turner’s raise, went all in and was quickly called.

David Benoit Janin opened up the action as he raised to 75,000 from the Cut-off. Xiantong Li called from the Button, prior to Beihao Wang moving all in for 425,000.
Janin re-jammed for 1,400,000, sending Li into the tank. Li used three timebank chips before he folded.
Beihao Wang: A♠K♠ David Benoit Janin: Q♥Q♦
The board J♣7♣Q♣10♠7♥ was a pure rollercoaster, but Janin and his full house sent Wang to the rail.
Nikita Voroncovs raised to 50,000 from the Hi-jack and Andreas Constantinou was the only one who decided to partake, as he called from the Big Blind.
“My friend, you want to play this hand friendly?”, Voroncovs asked and got “play however you like” as the answer from Constantinou.
“I think we need to play it friendly”, Voroncovs continued as he answered Constantinou’s check on the 10♦J♦8♦ The turn brought the 10♥. Constantinou checked, Voroncovs bet 50,000 and Constantinou folded.
“I tried to be friendly, but I flopped the nut flush”, Voroncovs said as he revealed his A♦9♦ holding. The table shared a polite laugh.
Andreas Constantinou: 1,800,000 Nikita Voroncovs: 650,000
From the Button, Thomas Garment used his big stack to force the players in the blinds all in. Allan Graham, seated in the Small Blind, decided to make the call for his 670,000.
Thomas Garment: 10♠10♣ Allan Graham: K♣J♥
The Q♥K♦J♠ brought all kinds of excitement, but with the finished product being Q♥K♦J♠6♣2♥, Graham had the best hand and doubled up.
Mateusz Perkowski raised to 60,000, and William Kang went all in for 245,000. Perkowski made the call.
William Kang: 6♥6♣ Mateusz Perkowski: Q♥J♥
Kang was set to double up all the way up until the river, as the runout 10♥7♠10♣5♣7♣ meant Perkowski’s queen played as kicker and Kang was sent to the rail.
We’ve just witnessed one of the biggest pots of the tournament so far.
There was roughly 650,000 in the middle on a 6♦K♠10♣Q♣ board. Alessandro Collaro bet 325,000, prior to Gareth Gardner going all in for 1,270,000. After receiving the count, Collaro made the call.
Gareth Gardner: 6♣5♣ Alessandro Collaro: K♦Q♥
Collaro was ahead, and he would have probably been the tournament chip leader hadn’t it been for the 4♣ river. Gardner now breaks the two million barrier and is sitting with a very healthy stack as the first break of the day approaches.
After some earlier betting, action was on Virginia Mihaela Grasu who went all in for 262,000 from the Big Blind. It was then on Nikita Voroncovs, who, seated in the Hi-jack, re-jammed for 645,000. Then, Artur Craciun proceeded to also go all in for 590,000.
The decision was then on Danny Ball, who took his time before folding.
Virginia Mihaela Grasu: A♦J♥ Nikita Voroncovs: 8♣8♦ Artur Craciun: Q♥Q♦
As the board spelled out K♥A♥2♦10♠9♠, no player busted, but there were some serious swings in the stack sizes. After the dealer had calculated everything, Danny Ball revealed he folded A♠Q♠.
Virginia Mihaela Gasu: 810,000 Artur Craciun: 645,000 Nikita Voroncovs: 55,000
As Donna Summers’ “I feel love” echoes through the Dusk Till Dawn, 53 players are left in the Main Event, meaning the following 12 people have hit the rail.
On a 8♦9♥3♦6♠ board with roughly 150,000 in the middle, Martyn Frey bet – are you sitting down? – 15,000.
“I didn’t mean to do that”, Frey uttered in chock to the dealer. “What happens now?”, he continued as the dealer informed him that his bet would be changed to the minimum amount of 16,000. We can only imagine the confusion John Holmes went through as he made the call.
On the river Q♦, Frey now bet 75,000 prior to taking a bit of his baked potato-dish. Holmes ultimately made the call.
“Sixes”, Frey announced as he turned over 6♥6♦. Holmes confirmed Frey’s set was good as he mucked his hand.

The board read 4♣8♥6♠J♥Q♣ with 500,000 in the middle. Mark Stokes was all in, and Andreas Constantinou battled in a side pot against Nikita Voroncovs. On the river, Constantinou bet 225,000 which was enough to scare Voroncovs away.
Mark Stokes: A♥4♥ Andreas Constantinou: J♠J♦
Constantinou added to his stack as Stokes couldn’t have been too stoked hitting the rail.
The board read 8♣10♣6♥2♦A♠ with roughly 300,000 in the middle. It was a Blind VS Blind-battle between Qing Zheng and Sean McDonald and Zheng fired a hefty 225,000 bet. After a minute’s consideration, McDonald called.
Zheng turned over 10♠8♥ for two-pair, which was enough, seeing as McDonald mucked.
Jack Allen raised to 25,000 from UTG+1. Beihao Wang (Lo-jack), Sanjay Patel (Small Blind), and David Benoit Janin (Big Blind) all called.
Action was checked to Wang on the 8♠2♠5♦ flop who bet 26,000. Allen was the sole caller which brought the K♦ on the turn. Both players checked and the board completed with the 8♦ on the river. Allen now bet 56,000 and Wang made the call.
Allen turned over A♦Q♦ for the nut flush and took a bite of Wang’s stack.

With the board spelling out J♥5♠10♦8♣7♥, Neacsu unfortunately became the bubble boy; the remaining players have all received a plastic bag for their chips, which they’ll be reunited with when Day 2 starts tomorrow.
The poker.pro live reporting team will be back as soon as possible with full chip counts!

Action folded to Rishi Kumar who went all in for 215,000 from the Cut-off. After receiving a count, Andreas Constantinou made the call and managed to scare away the players in the blinds.
Rishi Kumar: K♣9♠ Andreas Constantinou: A♠J♣
With the board running out 4♦3♥Q♠3♦2♠, Constantinou eliminated Kumar and brought the total number of entries down to 32.
They’re falling fast at this stage of the tournament, and only seven more players will be eliminated before the remaining seven will bag their chips and prepare mentally for Day 2.
From the Lo-jack, Adam Petrovic went all in with 469,000. From the Big Blind, Martyn Frey decided to call.
Adam Petrovic: K♦Q♣ Martyn Frey: A♠10♦
No help for Petrovic on the 2♠A♦6♥9♠9♦ runout and he was eliminated in place 35.
Frankie Chan opened to 26,000. From the Button, Cristian Enache called, and Nikita Voroncovs joined the party from the Big Blind.
On the flop 5♠5♥3♠, Voroncovs checked and Chan C-bet 55,000. Enache called, and then, Voroncovs went all in for 190,000. Chan got out of the way but Enache made the call.
Nikita Voroncovs: 5♦4♦ Cristian Enache: Q♠J♠
No flush for Enache on the 5♠5♥3♠A♦10♥ runout, but, his stack is still very healthy.
From the Hi-jack, John Squibb raised to 25,000. Right to the left of him in the Cut-off, Mateusz Perkowski went all in for 270,000. From the Small Blind, Sarah Chan called Perkowski off and Squibb folded.
Mateusz Perkowski: A♦7♦ Sarah Chan: A♥A♠
Poker can be a brutal game, something Chan experienced as she witnessed the board running out 6♦9♦Q♣2♠10♦. Perkowski took a large chunk out of the Chan stack.
The crucial stage of the tournament is approaching and some short stacks are busting each and every hand.
From UTG+1, Foad Sattar Zadeh went all in for 111,000. It was folded to Samuel Leake who went called Zadeh off from the Small Blind.
Foad Sattar Zadeh: A♠6♣ Samuel Leake: A♣10♣
Leake was the favorite and the Q♠5♥K♠3♣2♣ runout didn’t cause him any harm; Zadeh was eliminated and 30 more players will bust before the remaining 27 can bag their chips.
Thomas Bacon raised to 12,000 from the Button, and Sean McDiarmid called from the Small Blind.
McDiarmid then check-called Bacon’s 15,000 bet on the 10♠5♥J♣ flop. Turn brought the J♥ which both player chose to check.
The 9♦ on the river would make things interesting; after McDiarmid had checked, Bacon bet 75,000 into the pot, which consisted of roughly 65,000. McDiarmid did a few twists and turns before ultimately calling.
Bacon showed Q♥8♠ for the straight and as McDiarmid slid his cards into the muck, Bacon’s stack grew an inch or two prior to the final 20-minute break of the day.
From the button, Sebastian E Ionita moved all in for 73,000. Ricky Keshav re-shoved 300,000 from the Small Blind and successfully isolated the Big Blind.
Sebastian E Ionita: A♣2♥ Ricky Keshav: A♠A♥
Ionita picked up some outs on the Q♦3♠4♦ flop, but no dice as the full board spelled out Q♦3♠4♦10♠8♠. Such, Ionita busted in place 73 as Keshav added to his stack.

The board read 6♦Q♣K♥ when Andreas Constantinou bet 25,000 into the pot already consisting of 90,000. Robert Moss raised to 65,000; Sebastian E Ionita folded, whilst Constantinou decided to call.
Both players checked the 4♦ turn. When the 3♣ fell on the river, Constantinou decided to pull the trigger and bet 55,000. Moss used two time bank chips and tried to get a read from Constantinou, but eventually, he mucked.
Andreas Constantinou: 390,000 Robert Moss: 140,000
The board read 5♣3♣7♥3♥Q♣ with 110,000 in the middle. Steven Frew went all in for 93,000, which caused Carlo Solazzo to use two timebank chips. Eventually, he folded his hand, which resulted in a decent pot for Frew.

Robert Douras and Ali Sakallioglu found themself in a Cut-off VS Big Blind-showdown preflop. Sakallioglu was the player at risk, playing roughly 80,000.
Robert Douras: K♠K♣ Ali Sakallioglu: Q♠Q♥
As soon as he saw Douras cards, Sakallioglu announced “nice hand” and stood up from his chair. After the 5♥10♠7♠ flop, he put his jacket on. On the 7♦ turn, he picked up his bagpack and took some steps away from the table.
When the Q♣ came on the river, the whole table shivered and this reporter got déjà vu to yesterday’s similar hand.
Iman Sarkeshik opened to 6,000 from UTG+1. Gareth Gardner called from the Button, and Big Blind player Vaibhav Aggarwal decided to join in on the fun as well.
All players checked the 9♣J♥A♠ flop, as well as the 9♥ turn. When 5♥ fell on the river, however, Aggarwal bet 20,000. Sarkeshik called, and Gardner mucked.
“I win”, Aggarwal predicted as he turned over 9♦7♣ for trips. Sarkeshik folded, and the chips went the way of Aggarwal.
Astonishing scenes at the Dusk Till Dawn as there appear to be more full houses than pairs today.
The board read A♠K♦3♥K♥10♦ and Cristian Enac bet 33,000 into the pot consisting of 100,000. Little did he know Iman Sarkershik had planned a raise to 75,000. Enac made the call.
Sarkershik turned over A♣K♠ for the winning hand, and he won a large pot right before the break.
There were 50,000 in the middle when the board read Q♦7♠6♥K♠. George Holmes bet an additional 26,500 and was called by Scott Waine and Andreas Constantinou. Needless to say, the pot was getting big.
The river was the K♣. And Constantinou bet 27,000. Then, Holmes went all in for 96,000. Waine folded, before Constantinou made the call.

Action was checked around on the 8♣Q♦5♣ flop. Pace picked up on the turn Q♠ which saw Docherty betting 5,000 and getting called by both other players.
On the river 9♣ Docherty checked, and Lobo bet 11,000. Ghrabie folded and when it was back to Docherty, he went all in for 75,000. A heavy sigh from Lobo as he let his hand go.
The full board read 4♣A♦J♥6♥J♠ with roughly 60,000 in the middle when Nikita Voroncovs bets 26,000. The decision is on Kevin Hall, who ponders for a while before making the call. Voroncovs turns over J♦6♦ for a boat.
“I was just trying to steal the blinds,” Voroncovs joked to his table neighbor Hall. “Then, it got better and better,” he continued as he collected the pot.

Katie Swift called and when it was back to Sveikauskas, he raised to 26,000. Squibb decided to make the call, whilst Swift swiftly went out of the way and mucked her hand.
On the turn 7♥, Sveikauskas went all in for 96,000. Squibb threw in a timebank chip and after some consideration, he decided to make the call.
Ovidijus Sveikauskas: 10♥8♣ John Squibb: 9♥9♠
The board completed 4♥8♥3♠7♥A♣ and Squibb’s nines held up. His stack grow to impressive sizes as Sveikauskas busted.
To the tunes of Carless Whisper at Dusk Till Dawn, Nerijus Sopa made it 2,500 from early position. Jeremy MacGhilles, Guy Collins, and Christian Enache all called from the Cut-off, the Button, and the Big Blind.
It was checked around on the K♥7♥2♥ flop, and the action repeated itself on the 7♦ turn. On the river 2♦, Enache was the first to act and bet 8,000. He was called only by Collins.
Christian Enache: K♦2♣ Guy Collins: K♠10♥
Enache’s two-pair was good as he evened out the stacks between them.
The board read 4♠10♦K♦7♥ with 25,000 in the middle when Luke Bloom went all in for 17,500. Qing Zheng didn’t look too comfortable, especially with Stuart Kinghorn in the seat behind him. Eventually, Zheng made the call and Kinghorn let his hand go.
Luke Bloom: K♣6♥ Qing Zheng: K♥J♠
As the river was dealt, the final board read 4♠10♦K♦7♥7♠. Zheng claimed the pot with his jack playing as a kicker and Bloom was eliminated.
The 2025 Hendon Mob Championship Nottingham. Photo: Jemma Grice/Dusk Till Dawn
The tables were set at the Dusk Till Dawn casino in Nottingham, and it was time for poker history to be written. The 2025 Hendon Mob Championship had arrived at 17:00 local time, and it was time for Day 1a of the £280 Main Event.
It’s no secret Hendon Mob events (or THMC, for short) have their unique charm. By cashing in a THMC event, players will get a certain flag symbol on Hendon Mob that can’t be acquired any other way. With this information, it couldn’t come as a surprise that 87 entries were made in Day 1a. It should also be mentioned that the £500 Luxon Pay High Roller event attracted over 100 players, some of which we’ll presumably see tomorrow during Day 1b of the Main Event.
An Unmatched Atmosphere
Dusk Till Dawn is, without a doubt, the perfect venue to host THMC. The casino offers unparalleled support, first-class service, and a great overall atmosphere. Day 1a was no exception to this, on the contrary, England’s qualifying match for the Soccer World Championships against Albania brought a little extra spice to the tournament area. There’s no doubt there were some friendly banter and shenanigans going on around the tables.
Timetheos Timotheou. Photo: Jemma Grice/Dusk Till Dawn
With 100,000 in starting stack and 30-minute levels, there were opportunities to play some serious poker. Under the first two hours, chips traded owners here and there and after a while, it was Timotheos Timotheou who was the player to beat. For the most part of the tournament, Timotheou was a top-five stack, even though he lost the occasional pot here and there.
Plater’s Silver Platter
As the tournament progressed, more players started accumulating mountains of chips. One of them was Kieran Platter, who began his ascendancy when he rivered a flush against big-stacked Colin Paddington. As he and a couple more players continued to build smaller empires, things weren’t looking as bright for the awe-inspiring Timotheou, who found himself on the wrong side of a brutal cooler, which started his descent. As the tournament reached its final two tables, Timotheou was no longer part of the field.
Kieran Plater. Photo: Jemma Grice/Dusk Till Dawn
However, that wasn’t the case for Plater, who kept winning big hands. He eliminated Jonathan Hewston, and when the bubble stage of the tournament was reached, Plater used his big stack to put pressure. when all was said and done, he ended Day 1a as the chip leader.

They’re all already guaranteed a minimum cash, and they’ll be accompanied by those who advance from Day 1b and 1c, which will both be played tomorrow, Saturday 22.
The poker.pro team will follow all the action from Day 1b while also glancing at the 1c tables now and then. We hope you’ve enjoyed today’s coverage and are excited to see you again tomorrow.
Kamil Wozniak and Gintautas Razma clashed all in pre-flop. Wozniak was the player at risk, holding about 250,000.
Kamil Wozniak: 10♠10♦ Gintautas Razma: A♥10♣
Wozniak had Razma exactly where he wanted him, but the board 3♦3♣Q♦2♣A♣ had other plans. An absolute brutal river card sent Wozniak to the rail, and the remaining 14 players are now on the bubble.
Kieran Plater raised to 35,000 from UTG+1. Action folded to Jonathan Hewston who raised to 60,000. Plater then forced Hewston all in for roughly 180,000. Hewston made the call.
Kieran Plater: A♥9♦ Jonathan Hewston: 10♣9♠
No ten for Hewston on the 7♠4♥8♣2♦K♠ runout, and he busted in place 17. Seconds before him, Alastair Cook also was eliminated.

On 3♥4♦7♦, Noble bet 60,000 and Razma elected to call. The turn came the 9♥ and Noble now went all in for 325,000. Razma didn’t look too pleased but eventually, he made the call.
Paul Noble: K♥K♦ Gintautas Razma: 6♥4♥
Many outs for Razma to eliminate Noble, but the A♠ wasn’t one of them.
We’re down to the last 18 players in Day 1a of the Main Event. In other words, five more casualties will meet their destiny before the survivors can bag their chips for Day 2.
The seat draw for the final two tables is as follows:
From the Hi-jack, Gintautas Razma opened to 26,000. Stephen Hogg decided to move all in for 180,000 from the Cut-off, and after a minute’s consideration, Razma made the call.
Stephen Hogg: A♥K♥ Gintautas Razma: A♣J♠
Things were looking bright for Hogg, but the board spelled out 8♣K♣7♣J♦Q♣. The nut flush gave Razma the win and Hogg was eliminated from the tournament.

Sean Randall: Q♦Q♣ Timetheos Timotheou: A♣A♦
Things looked good for Timotheou on the 10♦3♥10♠ flop. His equity grew with the J♠ turn. “Good luck, everyone”, Randall announced as he stood up from his chair. However, the Q♥ landed on the river, giving him the best hand and taking a huge chunk out of the Timotheou stack.
Sean Randall: 800,000 Timetheos Timotheou: 120,000
As the players are going on the last scheduled 20-minute break for the day, some have notable big stacks. One of them is Xiantong Li, who won a huge pot before the break with a flopped straight.
They will return to Level 13: 4,000/8,000 (8,000).
Crazy scenes on Table 1 when the board read Q♠8♣A♠J♣2♠. Scott Boyle was all in, and Kieran Plater was Heads Up against Colin Paddington.
Paddington checked the completed board, telling Plater “You need to pull the trigger”. Plater listened and went all in for 216,500. Paddington called instantly.

Ian Plater raised from the Lo-jack to 12,000. He was called by Alan Stearn from the Cut-off, Timotheos Timotheou from the Button, and Foad Sattar Zadeh decided to call from the Big Blind as well.
The flop came 4♣10♠7♠ and after Zadeh had checked, Plater bet 12,000. Stearn folded, Timotheou called and Zadeh mucked.
On the turn 6♥, Plater bet 25,000. Timotheou asked how much he had left, and after receiving a count, he raised to 55,000. Plater wasted little-to-no time going all in for 134,500, and Timotheou made the call in a heartbeat.
Ian Plater: 10♥10♦ Timotheos Timotheou: 6♠6♣
A brutal set over set-scenario for Timotheou who did not improve to quads on the 4♣10♠7♠6♥9♦ runout. The pot went on a plate to Plater.
Artur Craciun committed 8,000 from his impressive stack and opened up the pot. Action folded to Lewis Wilson in the Small Blind, who made the call, and David Benoit Janin joined in on the fun from the Big Blind.
The flop came 9♥2♣10♠, and it was checked to Craciun, who repeated his 8,000 bet. Wilson got out of the way before Janin called.
Both players checked the K♥ turn. On the river 3♥, Janin led out for 22,000, and Carciun made the call rather quickly.

There were 34,000 in the middle when the board read 6♣6♥10♣Q♥. Peter Thorpe checked to his table neighbor Danny Rowlinson, who bet 22,000. Thorpe then decided to force Rowlinson all in for 95,000.
Rowlinson looked both disgusted and suspicious. He threw in not one, but two timebank chips contemplating a call. “Will you show if I fold?” he asked Thorpe, who accepted the request.
Eventually, Rowlinson announced he’s folding and Thorpe, being a man of his word, revealed his 7♦6♠. “Let me see the river”, Rowlinson asked the dealer as he showed his dead J♣8♣. The dealer denied the rabbit hunt; we’ll never know if the flush and/or straight would have hit, but one thing’s for sure: the two lads are having a blast at the table.
It was folded to Yujia Hu who raised to 5,500 from the Hi-jack. From the Small Blind, Luis Pereira went all in for 43,000. Action was now on big-stacked Timotheos Timotheou in the Big Blind, who re-shoved for roughly 480,000. Hu went out of the way and the players in the blinds turned over their cards:
Luis Pereira: 3♣2♣ Timotheos Timotheou: A♥K♠
The two lowest cards in the deck versus the two highest. The flop K♣5♣4♦ brought all kinds of hope for Pereira, and as the final product wasK♣5♣4♦6♥A♣, he doubled up.
“I was getting ready to leave”, Pereira claimed as the dealer pushed the chips his way.
Tarajmeer Kakar opened to 4,500 from the Hi-jack, and Phillip Harrington made it 16,000 from the Cut-off. The remaining players folded and when it was back to Kakar, he moved all in for 43,000. Harrington made the call.
Tarajmeer Kakar: K♠Q♥ Phillip Harrington: 9♦9♥
Things were looking bright for Harrington to eliminate Kakar all the way up to the river, as the completed board spelled out 7♥A♦8♦5♥Q♣. The dealer pushed the chips the way of Kakar, and the two gentlemen now have similar stacks.
The board read 6♠9♥5♠K♣ on Table 4, with 20,000 in the middle. Xiantong Li checked it over to Mateusz Perkowski who bet 8,000. Li then decided to raise to 16,000. This concerned Perkowski, as he threw in a 30-second time bank chip, contemplating his decision. Eventually, he made the call.
On the river Q♥, Li now was the one buying 30 seconds extra before firing a hefty 78,000 bet. As Perkowski leaned back in his chair thinking the hand over, a big “Woah!” roared in Dusk Till Dawn, as suspense grew in the England-Albania soccer game.
Eventually, Perkowski folded, Li’s stack grew, and England went to half-time, leading Albania one to nothing.

Not only are the players fighting for a High Roller title and a big payout, but there are also four $4,000 packages added, which can be used for the 2025 Mediterranean Poker Party. The “MPP” will be played in Cyprus, May 3-13.

From UTG+1, Linton Reid opened to 4,000 and got called by Nicholas Round (Small Blind) and Danny Ball (Big Blind).
On the K♠10♠8♣ flop, Round was first to act and bet 10,000. Ball wasted little time before going all in for 75,900, and Reid re-shoved for roughly 140,000. Round rounded things up and the two players all in revealed their holdings.
Danny Ball: 8♥8♦ Linton Reid: A♥A♣
No help for Reid as the board ran out K♠10♠8♣7♥Q♣; his aces had been cracked and Ball doubled up.
Marius Olteanu opened to 3,000 UTG, and right to the left of him, Andrew Probyn raised to 7,000. Action was folded back to Olteanu who made the call.
On the flop J♣A♣10♠, Olteanu check-called a 11,000 bet from Probyn. Olteanu checked again on the 7♥ turn, and Probyn now went all in for 75,000 effective. Olteanu sighed before making the call.

The board read A♥7♥10♠ on Table 12 when Foad Sattar Zadeh bet 2,500 into the pot consisting of roughly 8,000. He was called by Jamie Moore as well as David Benoit Janin.
The 4♣ came on the turn and Zadeh continued his aggression, now betting 7,200. Moore and Janin both made the call and the river was the 6♥.
Zadeh now slowed down, prior to Moore betting 16,000. Janin wasted little time raising to 50,000. Zadeh took his 30 seconds on the shot clock before folding, before Moore made the call.

As previously mentioned, THMC Nottingham is the second THM event of the year. An event by THM is a sure success, and players would be wise to take notes of the upcoming events in 2025. There will be a Hendon Mob tournament at all the poker festivals listed below (the list will grow as 2025 progresses):
This is the second THMC event in 2025. The first one was played February 6-9 in Liechtenstein, and Swiss Jan Schneider took home the title and SFr11,890 ($13,171) in the SFr300 Main Event. Sunday, we’ll have a second THMC winner of 2025, and we’re beyond excited to see who will lift the trophy.
While more and more players keep entering Day 1a of the £280 Main Event, the £560 Luxon Pay High Roller is also up and running. Presumably, we’ll see many of the High Roller players registering for Day 1b of the Main Event tomorrow, Saturday, 22.
The poker.pro team has arrived in Nottingham, and we’re eager to start live coverage of the 2025 Hendon Mob Championship Nottingham.
Day 1a of the £280 Main Event will begin in two hours. The tournament kicks off at 17:00 local time, and late registration closes at 21:30.
Play will end when 15 % of the players remain, and these survivors will then bag their chips and return for the final day, Day 2, on Sunday. All Day 2 players will be in the money.

The Hendon Mob, being the world’s biggest live poker database, has throughout the years held their own special tournaments during various poker events all across the globe, as well as hosting festivals of their own. Now, they’ll once again be running all the operations and presumably, many players will travel to Nottingham with the purpose of chasing the unique Hendon Mob flag.
With the 2025 Hendon Mob Championship Nottingham about to begin, let’s browse the archives and see who’s been the previous champions of the prestigious Hendon Mob events.
It’s about to go down at Dusk Till Dawn casino in Nottingham for the 2025 Hendon Mob Championship. With £130,000 in total prizes for this unique poker festival, there’s no doubt the action will be immense in England in the coming days.
£100,000 Main Event Takes the Cake
The 2025 Hendon Mob Championship (THMC) is a five-day poker festival that will bring the heat to Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham from March 19-23. With eight different tournaments in the schedule, ranging from £60 to £560 in terms of buy-ins, there’s something for everyone at the event.
The biggest star of the show is the £280 Hendon Mob Championship Main Event. The tournament is responsible for £100,000 of the series’ overall £130,000 guarantee, and with three Day 1 flights, many players are expected to take a shot or two in this single re-entry tournament.
27 players made it through Day 1b of the £280 THMC Main Event.

On the bubble, Edi-Paul Neacsu moved all in from UTG+1. His 220,000 shove didn’t intimidate Cristian Enache, who made the call from the Small Blind.
Edi-Paul Neacsu: A♣8♥ Cristian Enache: 9♠9♦
With the board spelling out J♥5♠10♦8♣7♥, Neacsu unfortunately became the bubble boy; the remaining players have all received a plastic bag for their chips, which they’ll be reunited with when Day 2 starts tomorrow.

Dost Ghrabie made it 3,500 from the Hi-jack and was called by both Stephen Docherty in the Small Blind and Jeevan Lobo in the Big Blind.

There’s roughly 14,000 in the middle when the board reads 4♥8♥3♠. Ovidijus Sveikauskas checked prior to John Squibb betting 5,500.

From the Hi-jack, Andrew Hanak opened to 1,200. Gareth Gardner had just sat down at the table and was immediately the Big Blind, which he elected to defend.
The action went check-check on the 5♦9♦3♦ flop. Gardner fired 1,100 on the 8♠ turn, and Hanak decided to call.
On the river 3♣, Gardner sized up to 7,500 prior to Hanak raising to 20,000. Gardner went deep into the tank and used up three of his five timebank chips on the decision. Eventually, he did make the call.
Hanak turned over Q♦7♦ for the flopped flush as the dealer pushed the chips his way.

Storey fired again on the 8♥ river, this time 2,500. No callers, and Storey collected his winnings.

Play has begun in Day 1b of the £280 THMC Main Event. 51 players from the get-go is a promising number, and big fields are expected both in Day 1b and 1c.

It’s a big day in Nottingham and Dusk Till Dawn. 12:00 lokal time, Day 1b of the £280 THMC Main Event will set afoot, and there’s no doubt there’ll be some big action today.
Yesterday, Day 1a saw 13 players bagging their chips for Day 2. Similar numbers from Day 1b are to be expected, and Day 1c (which starts today at 17:00) may be even bigger. Make no mistake about it; we’re playing a very prestigious tournament here, folks.
Play lasted roughly 10 years yesterday, and if that’s the case today as well, we can assume Day 1b will end around 22:00. It should be mentioned, though, that we’re playing down to 15 %; the same is the case with Day 1c, of course.
Every player starts with 100,000 in chips. The structure is as follows:

Otherwise, enjoy the great hospitality and comfort that Dusk Till Dawn offers. Apart from the two Main Event flights, there’s also the £60 Monster Stack starting at 17:30.
Good luck to all the players, and make sure to tune in to the live blog here at poker.pro!
