PartyPoker Tour ambassadors Jaime Staples and Rebecca Hardisty have jumped into the Day 1a field during the break, and are proudly flying the PartyPoker flag.
After final tabling the Main Event in London at the last stop, Ivan Meister leads the way at the second break of the Mini Main Event in Glasgow, with the top stacks as follows:-
Ivan Meister – 240,000 Anthony Mullen – 195,000 Ishbel Leddy – 190,000 Stephen Maxwell – 189,000 Alexander Wickham – 188,000

Shane Henderson was all-in for around 26,000 and at risk against Raymond Peacock.
Shane Henderson: A♦K♣ Raymond Peacock: 6♣6♠
It was a fair fight, and Henderson bricked the 4♥3♣3♠5♥6♥ runout, Peacock rivering an unnecessary full house.

The players have been sent on their second break of the day, with late registration in Day 1a of the Mini Main closing before the start of the next level.

Daniel Tresa opened to 3,200 from the hijack, and received a call from Alan Hadden in the cutoff, before John Woods produced a three-bet to 13,000 from the small blind.
Tresa folded, but Hadden called to see the 9♦8♦3♣ flop. Woods fired out a bet of 14,000, and Hadden took quite a bit of time for thought before calling.
The K♦ rolled off on the turn, and Hadden folded in the face of a jam of 37,800 from Woods.
Kevin Frame opened to 2,500 from the cutoff, and received calls from Stephen Maxwell on the button, and William Smith in the big blind.
The J♥9♣3♣ flop was checked to the 7♠ turn, where action was checked to Maxwell. He fired out a bet of 4,000, which only Frame called.
The K♣ river completed the board, and Frame check-folded without ceremony in the face of a bet of 11,000 from Maxwell, who flashed 7♥7♣ as he raked in the pot.

Ross Haffie opened to 2,000 from early position, and received calls from Richard Warburton in the next seat, and Daniel Curry in the big blind.
On the J♥6♥6♠ flop, Haffie continued with a bet of 4,000, which only Warburton called.
The 7♠ hit on the turn, and Haffie double-barreled with a bet of 8,000. Warburton responded with a raise to 17,000, and Haffie folded after a brief period of thought.
A pot of around 46,000 had developed by the turn on a board of K♦J♠9♠10♣, and Trevor Mills check-called a bet of 3,000 from Ivan Meister.
The J♦ river paired the board, and Mills checked once more. Meister jammed with the covering stack, and Mills made a relatively quick call for his remaining stack of around 30,000.
Meister tabled Q♦Q♠ for the one-card straight, well ahead of Mills’ A♣J♥ for trip jacks.
Nicholas Scott opened to 1,500 from middle position, and received a call from Sharaz Moad in the hijack, before Ryan McVey produced a three-bet to 4,100 from the cutoff.
Both of his opponents called to see the J♥5♥4♠ flop, where action was checked to McVey. He fired out a bet of 5,000, which failed to shake off either opponent.
On the 10♠ turn, Scott checked to Moad, who slid out a bet of 12,000, forcing folds from both of his opponents.
Sharaz Moad – 75,000 Nicholas Scott – 35,000 Ryan McVey – 30,000
Alexander Wickham was sweeping in a huge pot, while Vitor Cortico was getting up out of his chair looking slightly stunned.
With around 60,000 in the middle and the board reading 9♦8♠4♦5♠2♦, Cortico check-called an all-in from Wickham for his remaining stack of around 45,000.
Wickham tabled A♦7♦ for the nuts, and Cortico turned over 9♠9♣ with dismay.
A chunky pot of 24,300 had brewed by the river on a board of Q♣9♠6♦A♥5♥, in a hand between Alban Rrushi in middle position, and Stephen Maxwell in the big blind.
Maxwell checked, and Rrushi fired out a bet of 7,600. Maxwell spent a reasonable period of time in the tank, but made the call.
Rrushi tabled A♣Q♥ for top two pair, and Maxwell was frustrated to see his K♣K♥ had been usurped on the turn.
With around 2,400 in the middle on a flop of 6♣5♦4♣, Michael Marco fired out a bet of 2,000, and was met with a raise to 6,000 from Brian Etheridge.
Marco called to see the A♣ turn, where he fired out a bet of 6,000.
Etheridge called to see the 6♠ river, where Marco again led out with a bet of 11,500. Etheridge jammed for around 26,000, and Marco snap-called for his roughly 20,000 stack.
Marco tabled A♥6♦ for sixes full of aces, and could barely believe his eyes when Etheridge turned over A♦A♠ for aces full of sixes.
Ishbel Leddy was sweeping in a full double-up, after waking up with pocket rockets versus her opponent’s pocket kings. The stacks made their way into the middle preflop, and Leddy flopped a set, rendering her opponent’s turned set irrelevant.
Leddy had apparently picked up pocket queens in the previous hand, hitting another set to bust her opponent, and has in excess of three starting stacks already.
Ramlal Basdeo opened to 400 under the gun, and received a call from Douglas McVey in the next seat.
Alex Gillies produced a three-bet to 1,700 next along, before Omid Nikjeh cold-called in the cutoff. Basdeo and McVey both called to make it four-way to the flop in a three-bet pot.
The 8♣5♦4♣ flop was checked to Gillies, who fired out a bet of 2,500. Nikjeh folded, but both Basdeo and McVey called.
The J♥ hit on the turn, and was checked through to the Q♣ river, where action was checked to Gillies.
Gillies slid out a bet of 6,000, which only Basdeo called. Gillies confidently tabled J♣J♠ for a turned set of jacks, but was shocked to see Basdeo had Q♥Q♠ for a rivered set of queens.
Ramlal Basdeo – 56,000 Alex Gillies – 30,000 Douglas McVey – 38,000 Omid Nikjeh – 35,000
Around 5,600 had made its way into the middle on a completed board of A♠K♠6♠A♣2♠, in a hand between Michael Dock in the cutoff, and Michael Marco in the big blind.
Marco checked, and Dock fired out a chunky bet of 5,400. Marco thought matters through briefly, before sending his cards to the muck.

Play is underway in Day 1a of the £150 buy-in, £50,000 guaranteed Mini Main Event, with 34 players already seated.
Early birds include David Docherty and London Main Event final tablist Ivan Meister, who are aiming to follow in the footsteps of Christian Watt as the Glasgow Mini Main Event champion.
The PartyPoker Tour crowned its latest Main Event champion just three weeks ago, as Daniel Smith of Wales turned a free online satellite ticket into a £22,500 payday in London. Now, the latest opportunity for players to etch their name into PartyPoker history has arrived, with the tour descending on the Alea Casino in Glasgow from 3-9 August for its sixth stop of 2026.
With the city fresh off hosting a hugely successful Commonwealth Games, attention turns from the pool and track to the tables. It is the second time the tour has been hosted by the stunning venue on the banks of the River Clyde.
Last year, Zhen Zhen battled to Main Event glory, overcoming a 256-entry field to bank £22,500 after slaying a tough final table comprising David Lappin, PartyPoker Tour ambassador Jaime Staples, Kevin Frame and Dean Lyall. Zhen remains the only female winner of the £100,000 guaranteed flagship event in tour history.

poker.pro will be on the floor for the entirety of the festival, bringing you all the action and big moments, so stay tuned for your coverage of the 2026 PartyPoker Tour Glasgow.
Long before she learned to defend a big blind, Natalie Bromley was a lifelong Burnley FC supporter turned football broadcaster, co-founding the fan podcast No Nay Never before going on to commentate for BBC World. Her introduction to poker came through her ex-husband, and it wasn’t long before her media background and her new passion for the game began to intertwine.
Away from the tables, Bromley is also the founder of Hearts of Queens, a charitable foundation that supports women’s shelters and clean water initiatives in the communities the PartyPoker Tour visits. As she prepares for her home leg in Manchester, where she’ll be chasing redemption after a fifth-place Main Event finish last year, Bromley opens up about football, law, poker, and juggling it all.

Zhen Zhen topped a field of 256 entries to win the 2025 PartyPoker Tour Glasgow £500 Main Event for £22,500, storming back from a four-to-one heads-up deficit to defeat Scotland’s Kyle Scott with ace-high besting queen-six on the river. The final table also saw PartyPoker Team Pro Jaime Staples fall in seventh after a brutal cooler, while prolific grinder Dean Lyall and overall Day 2 chip leader David Lappin both went out short of the top three.

The PartyPoker Tour Glasgow kicks off on Monday, bringing a week of poker back to Alea Casino Glasgow and its river-view card room through August 8. Headlining the action is the £500 Main Event with its £100,000 guarantee, alongside the ever-popular £150 Mini Main Event, a lineup of poker.pro-branded tournaments, including Sviten Special and Red River Bounty, and JJ Hazan’s PLO Masters Series.
With Tour Ambassadors past and present sharing memories of last year’s stop and a jam-packed schedule of side events on tap, this sixth stop of the season is shaping up to be one of the Tour’s biggest yet.
