Boyuan Xue was the last player standing from an 82-runner field, banking £5,850 after a three-way deal with PartyPoker Tour Ambassador Glenn Brown (£3,650) and Anooj Sareen (£2,400) left only the destination of the trophy to be determined.

Daniel Smith has emerged as a worthy winner of the 2026 PartyPoker Tour London (Summer Edition) £500 Main Event, defeating Chris Yong heads-up to take the trophy and the £22,500 first-place prize.
The Welshman went wire-to-wire on the final day, starting with a slight lead over Yong, both of whom had clear daylight between the rest of the field. The duo proceeded to wield their stacks expertly to pressure opponents throughout, and reach the final showdown.
The result marks a new career-best score for Smith, following his victory in a mystery bounty event at The Festival in Bratislava for £18,000 in 2023.
Smith spun a free satellite ticket into his Main Event entry online at PartyPoker, making the victory even sweeter.

Winner’s Interview
Smith was delighted to be standing with the trophy, saying “It feels great, really happy. I missed my flight to play this, but it was worth it! I satellited online with a free ticket, so amazing. It’s my biggest live poker win, which will fund a nice dinner! I’ve been to a few PartyPoker Tour stops and it’s nice to get a trophy!”
Final Table Recap
The nine players left standing from the 190-runner field returned with Smith (2,455,000) and Yong (2,070,000) holding commanding leads, while Barry Donovan (1,100,000) led the chasing pack, and Vikrum Mehta started off as the relative short-stack.
Smith got off to a strong start by ending any hopes Mehta had of a spin-up, when Smith’s pocket pair held in a flip. Smith got thin value from James Marshall, before he took a hit when he ran into the aces of Matt Horn.
Yong and Smith were still out in front at the start of the second stint, and a flurry of knockouts thinned the field in rapid fashion. First, Meister met his maker in the form of Barry Donovan’s flipping abilities to exit in seventh, before James Korek lost a race against the champion’s deuces.
Yong disposed of Horn in fifth after turning a straight, leaving Orhan as the short-stack. He battled valiantly in his attempt to resurrect his bid for a second Main Event win, but ultimately fell to Yong.
However, Smith found cowboys to double through Yong at the perfect time. Yong would recover by turning the nut straight against Donovan’s turned flush and wrap draw, and would hold when the chips hit the middle, sending the Irishman to the rail in third.
Barry Donovan (Photo: Nunzia Esposito)
Yong started heads-up play with a nearly 3:1 lead over Smith, but Smith hit the front when he woke up with a superior pair to his opponent. Smith again found kings, and then ace-king, in short order to leave Yong on the ropes.
The decisive blow was dealt when Yong committed his final chips with a medium-strength suited king, but found he was dominated. Smith proceeded to flop the flush and leave Yong drawing dead, allowing the champion to celebrate victory with his rail before the runout had even been completed.

We will be back tomorrow with a summary of results of the final side events, but that concludes our substantive coverage of another fantastic PartyPoker Tour event.
The next stop is in Glasgow from 3-9 August, and you can find full details of the schedule here, see you in Scotland!
Daniel Smith has emerged as the 2026 PartyPoker Tour London (Summer Edition) Main Event champion, overcoming the 190-entry field after defeating Chris Yong heads-up.
Stay tuned to poker.pro for an interview with the champion and a recap of the final day.
Daniel Smith opened to 100,000 from the button with 5♥5♣, and was faced with a three-bet to 400,000 from Barry Donovan in the big blind with A♦7♦.
Smith four-bet jammed for 3,200,000 with the covering stack, and Donovan folded after some time in the tank.
In the next hand Smith got rockets, but got nothing beyond a defend in the big blind from Chris Yong with six-five, folding to a continuation bet on the K♦J♥9♠ flop.
Daniel Smith – 3,600,000 Barry Donovan – 1,800,000
A slow start to the second session, with the full counts as follows:-
Chris Yong – 2,900,000 Daniel Smith – 2,200,000 Barry Donovan – 1,200,000 Matt Horn – 1,100,000 James Korek – 735,000 Ivan Meister – 650,000 Deniz Orhan – 630,000
Chris Yong opened to 50,000 from middle position with A♠10♠, and received calls from James Marshall in the cutoff with Q♦J♦ and Deniz Orhan in the big blind with K♥9♠.
Yong flopped two pair on the A♦10♣2♠ flop, which was checked to the 10♥ river, improving Yong to a full house.
Action was checked to Marshall, who fired out a bet of 60,000. Orhan folded, and Yong called.
The A♥ hit on the river, and was checked through, sending the pot to Yong.
Deniz Orhan opened to 55,000 from early position with J♠J♣, and was met with a three-bet to 150,000 from Barry Donovan in the next seat with A♦J♦.
On the Q♦6♣4♥ flop, Orhan check-called a bet of 85,000 from Donovan.
The 5♥ hit on the turn, and Orhan checked once more. Donovan double-barreled with a bet of 195,000, and after a lengthy spell in the tank, Orhan folded the best hand.

A frantic day of poker action at Genting Casino Stratford on July 11 reduced a Day 2 field of 54 players to its final nine combatants, who will return for the final day at 3 p.m. today, July 12, with Daniel Smith of the United Kingdom (2,455,000) in pole position, leading from Chris Yong (2,070,000).
Smith and Yong developed a substantial lead over the rest of the field by the close of play, with Barry Donovan of Ireland (1,100,000) the only other player with a seven-figure stack.
The tournament attracted a total of 190 entries, with the £100,000 prize pool split between the top 27 players, and £22,500 is set aside for the champion.
Smith will be hoping to exceed his career-best score of $6,850, while Yong has a biggest cash of £135,000 for a runner-up finish in the £2,000 PartyPoker WPT UK Main Event in 2016. Donovan’s biggest result is a seventh place finish in the 2014 Irish Open Main Event for €26,500
Chris Yong (Photo: Nunzia Esposito)
2025 Player of the Year runner-up Deniz Orhan is still in the mix (560,000), while former GUKPT Luton champion Vikrum Mehta (295,000) begins the day as the short-stack.
In Day 2, Kevin Marney got two-outered by Ivan Meister on the soft bubble, while two simultaneous bust-outs meant David Pollock and Michael Hewes chopped a minimum cash.
Smith started to go on a charge once the bubble was broken, knocking out Robert Garfield, and spiking a two-outer against Jan Van den Bogert, before James Korek eliminated Conor O’Driscoll.

That concludes our coverage for today, but stay tuned to poker.pro for full coverage of the final day, scheduled for 3 p.m. on July 12, with coverage on a 30-minute delay to match the stream.
There have been doubles for short-stacks Conor O’Driscoll and Nicholas Rishover, but otherwise play has become very cagey after a whirlwind of knockouts.
Conor O’Driscoll – 200,000 Nicholas Rishover – 360,000
Bradley Morrical was getting up out of his chair looking stunned, after his final 200,000 hit the middle on the turn on a board of K♣8♦3♦10♥, and received a snap-call from James Korek.
Bradley Morrical: A♠K♦ James Korek: 8♥8♠
Morrical was dead versus Korek’s trips, and the 2♣ river completed the board.
Steven Ferguson was getting up out of his chair, after his final 205,000 went into the middle with K♥Q♥ but came off worst against Nicholas Rishover’s A♠K♣, both players missing the 7♣6♦3♠10♦9♠ runout.
Sebastian Constable and Florian Trif also exited at other tables.

There were two simultaneous all-ins on the bubble.
At Table 15, with 115,000 in the middle on a board of J♠2♠2♣6♦, Dave Pollock check-called from the big blind, in the face of a bet of 80,000 from Daniel Smith in the cutoff.
The 9♦ river completed the board, and Smith jammed with the covering stack when Pollock checked once more.
Pollock was pained and went deep into the tank, agonizing over the decision. He burnt through all his time banks, and with 20 seconds left, made the call.
He tabled 10♥10♣ for two pair, but Smith had better with A♦J♦.
At Table 16, Chris Yong had jammed on Michael Hewes from the small blind, who called off for his 38,000 stack.
Michael Hewes: J♣10♥ Chris Yong: Q♣9♦
Hewes was behind, and he bricked the 8♦6♠3♥5♠2♣ runout.
Simeon Sharr also exited shortly after the bubble burst. The players have been sent on a 20-minute break.
The stream has now concluded and our coverage is back to real time coverage with no delay after the break.
Daniel Smith – 1,500,000 Chris Yong – 1,420,000 Simeon Sharr – 0 Michael Hewes – 0 Dave Pollock – 0
Chris Yong is sitting on a chunky chip-leading stack of 900,000, and informed poker.pro it primarily arose from busting Max Burney with queens against fives, and collecting a chunky three-way pot with pocket kings.
Meanwhile Alan Stearn and Andrea Tincombe have seen their runs come to an end. Tincombe’s exit came at the hands of Deniz Orhan, after she ran pocket queens into Orhan’s aces.
Nicholas Rishover opened to 10,000 from the cutoff, and was met with a three–bet to 40,000 from Ian Burr in the big blind.
Rishover called to see the 9♠3♣2♦ runout, where Burr led out with a bet of 24,000. Rishover jammed with the covering stack, and Burr called for his roughly 110,000 total stack.
Ian Burr: 10♦10♥ Nicholas Rishover: K♥9♥
Burr looked in great shape with an overpair against top pair, but Rishover improved on the K♣ turn, and Burr could not find a two-outer on the 2♣ river.
Around 40,000 had made its way into the middle on a board of J♥10♠4♣Q♦, in a hand between Ashkan Ahmedov in the cutoff, and Deniz Orhan in the big blind.
Orhan check-called a bet of 25,000 to see the 4♦ river, where he checked once more.
Ahmedov fired out a bet of 60,000, which pained Orhan. After some chat trying to get an indication of his opponent’s strength, Orhan sent his cards to the muck.
Andrea Tincombe opened to 12,000 from the hijack, and Kevin Marney called in the small blind.
On the Q♣3♦2♥ flop, Marney check-called a bet of 18,000 from Tincombe.
The 6♦ hit on the turn, and Tincombe fired out a bet of 18,000 again, but this time out of turn.
As is usual, it was ruled the bet stood unless Marney changed the action, and he proceeded to slide out a bet of 3,000. Tincombe confirmed her raise to 18,000 stood.
Marney called to see the 8♠ river, where he led out with a bet of 7,000, which Tincombe called.
Marney tabled K♣Q♥ for top pair, but Tincome had the goods with A♦A♠.
Tincombe incurred a one round penalty for her infraction. Our coverage will now be on a 30-minute delay to match the stream.

Main Event End of Day 1d Chip Counts
The full counts of the 15 Day 1d qualifiers are below:-
The penultimate day of the 2026 PartyPoker Tour London (Summer Edition) has arrived, with the £100,000 guaranteed, £500 Main Event moving towards its final showdown, and England’s World Cup fate also set to be determined.
Who has the biggest strategy problem? Players attempting to overcome a field of 40+ players, including Vikram Mehta, Conor O’Driscoll and Deniz Orhan to take the Main Event title, or Thomas Tuchel trying to coming up with a plan to stop Erling Haaland? Debatable, but surely fireworks on the field and felt are guaranteed.
With the final starting flight still to conclude, at the time of writing a total of 174 entries have been logged for the Main Event, with 39 players booking their seats for Day 2.
They are led by former GUKPT Luton champion Vikram Mehta (471,000), who holds a substantial lead over Steven Ferguson (319,000) and Andrea Tincombe (315,000).
Conor O’Driscoll (294,000) is in hot form, picking up two trophies at EPT Monte Carlo in May, and he lurks as a dangerous presence in the top ten, with the full counts of the Day 2 qualifiers thus far below.

That concludes our substantive coverage for today. Details of today’s side event results, and Main Event Day 1c and Day 1d qualifiers will be provided in due course, along with the Day 2 seat draw, when available.
Day 2 is scheduled to kick off at 4 p.m. on July 11, and our full coverage will resume then.
Following the eliminations of Johnson Kitete-Kikumba, C.L., J.B, Pui Ng and Tai Tran, the field has been reduced to 17 players as the players are sent on their final break.
With 15 players scheduled to qualify from Day 1b, the bubble looms on their return.
Kevin Marney still leads, with the top counts as follows:-

Turbo flight Day 1c is now underway, with 12 players seated at the start of play.
Players sit down to a 50,000 starting stack, with the clock set to 25-minute levels. Late registration remains open until the start of Level 10, and 25% of the field will qualify for Day 2.
The final starting flight is at 11 a.m. on July 11, and features 15-minute levels.
Around 54,000 was in the middle on a board of A♣Q♣J♥3♣, and the floor had been called as the dealer had mistakenly told A.S. on the button that it was his turn to act, and he proceeded to jam for 84,000.
Deniz Orhan was the opponent, and he was in the tank, after being informed the all-in would stand unless he changed the action.
Orhan duly checked, and proceeded to talk aloud through his outs, before eventually making the call.
A.S: 10♣8♣ Deniz Orhan: A♠K♣
A.S. had turned the flush, but Orhan had the nut flush draw. However the 7♦ river was a brick, much to Orhan’s frustration.
David Lappin was getting up out of his chair, and his stack was being passed to Conor O’Driscoll, after Lappin came off worst in button versus big blind spot between the Irish stalwarts.
The final chips hit the middle on the river, and Lappin held K♠Q♥ on a board of Q♣3♠2♥Q♠A♦.
Trip queens was not enough however, as O’Driscoll had turned a full house with Q♦2♠ in a brutal cooler.
Kevin Marney is still at the top of the standings with late registration in Day 1b about to close, and the top counts as follows:-
Kevin Marney – 291,000 Kartik – 230,000 Conor O’Driscoll – 225,000 Deniz Orhan – 209,000 Tai Tran – 195,000
Kartik informed poker.pro that the majority of his stack came after flatting pocket kings in the face of an open and three-bet, which prompted his opponents to get their chips into the middle with king-queen and a weak ace, his cowboys comfortably holding.

Ben Skinner of England has emerged as the last player standing from a 617-runner field in the 2026 PartyPoker Tour London (Summer Edition) £150 Mini Main Event, taking the trophy and securing a career-best score of £14,300 after a heads-up deal with Carlos Estivill of Argentina (£11,950).
The deal left only the destination of the trophy, and the final £2,500 of the £87,125 prize pool, to be determined, and Skinner fought back from a significant deficit to wrestle the trophy from his foe.
It was the second comeback from Skinner on the final day, after he started the final table as the short-stack on five big blinds. A double-up with kings, and a triple-up with ace-jack, got the champion moving in the right direction, and he rode that momentum all the way to the title, overcoming PartyPoker Tour Ambassadors Sam Acheampong and Jaime Staples in the process.

Winner’s Reaction
Skinner, a Genting Casino Stratford regular, was delighted to be standing with the trophy, and said “It feels very surprising. At the start of the final table I was short, got the triple-up, and then won pretty much every all-in I needed to.”
“I turned down the deal three-handed as I just didn’t think it made sense. At heads-up, the numbers looked better and we agreed things very quickly. The redemption point heads-up was the queen-ten hand, and that was good timing, as I had started to think this is maybe looking difficult. That gave me a good boost, and from there I just stuck to my strategy, and thankfully it worked.”
Skinner, who describes himself as a serious amateur, welcomed the bankroll boost, saying “It will help with maybe playing a few more tournaments around the UK, and maybe more online. I love the PartyPoker Tour, the structures are great, especially on Day 1. It never turns into too much of a turbo, and its pretty unique with so many different variants in the side-events.”
Final Day Recap
Only 14 players returned for the final day, with PartyPoker Tour Ambassadors Sam Acheampong leading the way, and Jaime Staples in hot pursuit, while Skinner was second last in the standings.
Sam Acheampong (Photo: Nunzia Esposito)
Acheampong claimed the first knockout of the day when Baptiste Auger jammed with an inferior pair, before Ayush Gandhi and Dimitar Dimitrov disposed of two anonymous players. Florin Stirzu was next to go, and the final table was set when James Korek ran into aces.
Acheampong still led the way at the outset of the final table, and Skinner was in dead last. The eventual champion picked up kings quickly to double through Acheampong, whose aces were then derailed by Estivill’s deuces.
Staples held in a flip to make Dimitrov the first casualty of the final table, and rockets were kinder to Acheampong the second time around to bust Timothy Scott in eighth.
In the key hand of the tournament for the champion, a huge three-way all-in erupted between Skinner, Staples and Acheampong, with Skinner securing the triple-up with ace-jack, while Acheampong sent Staples to the rail in the side pot.
Skinner took the lead for the first time when he took a three-bet pot from Acheampong, but Acheampong quickly held in a flip against Mohamed Kader to regain momentum and send Kader out in sixth.
Acheampong crashed out in fourth after losing successive hands against Estivill, who then proceeded to take the overall lead with some aggressive play, after brief deal discussions failed to bear fruit.
Carlos Estivill (Photo: Nunzia Esposito)
Stanley had battled hard to make the podium places, but he would have to settle for bronze after being eliminated by Skinner. Skinner would start heads-up play at a slight disadvantage, and the deal with Estivill was quickly agreed, leaving £2,500 and the trophy to play for.
A lengthy heads-up battle of almost two hours ensued, with neither party being prepared to go down without a fight. Estivill extended his lead after hitting trips, and left Skinner on the ropes after successive brutal hands.
A fascinating heads-up battle was brought to its conclusion when Estivill committed his stack with a pocket pair, but was counterfeited on the river by the victor, leaving Skinner to celebrate a career-best score and famous win on home soil.
Ben Skinner has taken the trophy in the £150 Mini Main Event, completing a remarkable comeback as the final table short-stack, and then again when facing a significant heads-up deficit against Carlos Estivill.
Skinner banks a new career-best live tournament score of £14,300. Stay tuned for a recap of the final day and an interview with the champion.
Ben Skinner raised to 800,000 from the button, and quickly called a three-bet jam of 7,500,000 from Carlos Estivill.
Carlos Estivill: 6♥6♦ Ben Skinner: A♣J♥
With the title on the line, Estivill was ahead in a flip, and he remained so after the 9♠9♥8♠ flop.
The 10♠ hit on the turn to give Skinner additional outs to the straight, and it was followed by the 10♥ river to counterfeit Estivill in cruel fashion, and send Skinner the trophy.
The players warmly shook hands and shared a few words, before Skinner was left to collect the trophy.
Carlos Estivill raised to 800,000 from the button with 8♦7♣, and Ben Skinner defended with Q♣4♣.
On the A♠Q♥9♥ flop, Skinner check-called in the face of a bet of 700,000 from his opponent.
The 3♦ rolled off on the turn, and the same pattern followed, this time in respect of a bet of 1,300,000 from Estivill.
The 9♠ river completed the board, and Skinner checked for a third time. Estivill fired out a bet of 4,700,000 with eight-high, and after a good spell in the tank, Skinner found an excellent call with second pair.
Ben Skinner – 20,000,000 Carlos Estivill – 8,300,000
Ben Skinner raised to 600,000 from the button with 9♠7♥, and Carlos Estivill defended 10♣8♣.
The A♥A♣9♥ flop was checked to the 7♦ turn, where Estivill check-raised to 3,200,000 in the face of a bet of 1,200,000 from Skinner, forcing a fold from Skinner with the best hand.
Carlos Estivill – 17,000,000 Ben Skinner – 12,000,000
Michael Stanley raised to 600,000 from the small blind with A♣9♥, and was faced with a three-bet to 1,500,000 from Carlos Estivill with 5♣4♣ in the big blind.
Stanley called to see the 6♥5♦2♣ flop, where he check-called in the face of a bet of 800,000 from Estivill.
The 5♠ turn paired the board and gave Estivill trips, and Stanley check-folded versus a bet of 1,800,000 from Estivill.
Carlos Estivill – 15,000,000 Michael Stanley – 4,600,000
After brief deal discussions failed to bear fruit, Ben Skinner limped from the small blind with Q♦7♦, and Michael Stanley knuckled 10♦4♠ in the big blind.
On the Q♠J♥10♠ flop, Skinner led out with a bet of 300,000, which failed to shake off Stanley.
The J♠ hit on the turn, and was checked through to the 4♣ river.
Skinner checked, and Stanley fired out a bet of 800,000. Skinner quickly called, and took the pot with the better two pair.
Ben Skinner – 12,000,000 Michael Stanley – 6,800,000
On the return from break, Sam Acheampong got an all-in through with pocket deuces, a walk in the big blind with pocket kings, and a jam through with king-six from the small blind.
In the next hand, Acheampong was all-in for 4,100,000 from the button, and was looked up by Carlos Estivill in the big blind for his 3,200,000 stack.
Carlos Estivill: K♥10♦ Sam Acheampong: 3♥3♣
It was off to the races, but Estivill hit the front on the 10♣7♦4♦ flop, and Acheampong could not reverse the position on the remaining 8♦4♥ runout.
A hand later, Acheampong was left with 950,000 in the big blind in the next hand. Estivill jammed from the small blind, and Acheampong called off.
Sam Acheampong: 9♣7♥ Carlos Estivill: Q♥3♦
Acheampong needed help, but he bricked the J♠10♠6♠K♠5♣ runout, spelling the end of the road for the popular PartyPoker Tour Team member.
Ben Skinner – 11,000,000 Michael Stanley – 8,400,000 Carlos Estivill – 8,200,000 Sam Acheampong – 0
Michael Stanley opened to 400,000 from under the gun with K♦Q♦, and folded to a three-bet jam of 3,200,000 from Carlos Estivill in the cutoff with A♥J♥.
Carlos Estivill – 4,300,000 Michael Stanley – 3,700,000
Ayush Gandhi opened to 320,000 from early position with A♥3♥, and was met with a three-bet jam from Jaime Staples in the small blind of 1,400,000 with 6♠6♦.
Ben Skinner was in the big blind and folded 5♠5♥, and Gandhi followed suit after a brief period of deliberation.

With London gripped by a heatwave, along with World Cup and Wimbledon fever, the temperature is sure to rise further at Genting Casino Stratford today, June 9, as 14 players return at 4 p.m. local time for the final day of the 2026 PartyPoker Tour London (Summer Edition) Mini Main Event.
The last players left standing are led by PartyPoker Tour Team member Sam Acheampong (4,980,000), with PartyPoker Ambassador Jaime Staples (2,600,000) at the front of the chasing pack, along with Thomas Scott (3,170,000) and Ayush Gandhi (2,785,000), after two days of play whittled down the field of 697 entries.
Acheampong is looking to add to an impressive 18 recorded live victories, while Staples has recorded three wins, including lifting the trophy in the £150 NLH event in Sheffield at the PartyPoker Tour stop in February.

Gandhi is also in good form, with all but one of his 35 recorded cashes taking place in the last two years. He will be hoping to run better than his fourth place finish in the £200 NLH event in Sheffield, while players such as Ben Skinner (830,000) and Baptiste Auger (1,220,000) will be hoping to spin up relative short-stacks early. (All figures courtesy of The Hendon Mob.)
The players will have their eyes firmly set on the chunky £16,000 top prize, representing the lion’s share of the £87,125 prize pool, comfortably in excess of the £50,000 guarantee.

poker.pro‘s reporting today will focus on the Mini Main Event, and we will be on the floor from cards in the air until the trophy is hoisted, so stay tuned for all your coverage of the 2026 PartyPoker Tour London (Summer Edition).
During the last hand of the day, PartyPoker Tour Ambassador Sam Acheampong opened to 250,000 UTG. Seated in the Big Blind, PartyPoker Team Pro Jaime Staples was the sole caller.
Both players checked the 7♥5♥9♥ flop. Staples bet 350,000 on the 9♣ turn, then called a 750,000 raise from Acheampong. Staples slowed down and checked the Q♣ river, then folded to another 750,000 from Acheampong.
With that, Day 2 came to an end. Fourteen players are bagging for Day 3, which will commence tomorrow, July 9, at 16:00. poker.pro live reporter Christoffer Karlén now bids farewell, and will leave the blog in the very competent hands of Richard Hayes from tomorrow onwards. Below are all results from today; stay tuned for the Day 3 chip counts.
Marius-Flaviu Scheul-Feldrihan opened to 250,000 UTG. Seated in the Lo-jack, Michael Stanley was the sole caller.
Scheul-Feldrihan continued for 325,000 on the 6♣8♣J♥ flop, and Stanley then decided to go all in for roughly 1,600,000. “I’ll gamble,” Scheul-Feldrihan said, and made the call for his tournament life, playing 1,500,000 on the dot.
Michael Stanley: A♠K♦ Marius-Flaviu Scheul-Feldrihan: Q♠J♣
Somewhat to his surprise, Scheul-Feldrihan was ahead. It wouldn’t last for long, though, as Stanley took the lead on the K♣ turn. No help for Scheul-Feldrihan on the 2♥ river, and he was eliminated in fifteenth place for £650.

Neil McCulloch, Pui Ng, Robert Patrascu, Liam Platt, Krisztian Toth and Damian Urban will have to fund another bullet in order to find a bag for Day 2.
M.P. opened to 3,200 from the hijack, and received a call from 2025 Player of the Year runner-up Deniz Orhan on the button, before PartyPoker Tour ambassador Daniel Garcia produced a three-bet to 14,500 from the button.
M.P. got out of the way, but Orhan made the call.
The K♥9♠6♦ flop was checked to the 10♣ turn, where Garcia check-called versus a bet of 10,700 from Orhan.
The 7♥ river completed the board, and Garcia check-jammed with the covering stack in the face of a double-barrel of 32,000 from Orhan.
Orhan called off for his 52,400 total stack, and tabled K♠8♠ for top pair which improved to a rivered one-card straight.
That improvement was required, as Garcia had K♦J♣.

Day 1c is scheduled to kick off at 8 p.m., and represents the penultimate chance for players to have a shot at emulating Michael Breen as a PartyPoker Tour Main Event champion.
Players will start with a 50,000 starting stack, and the clock will be set to 25-minute levels. Late registration remains open until the start of Level 10.
The final chance qualification route is the Day 1d hyper flight, which begins at 11 a.m. on July 11 and features 15-minute levels.
25% of the field qualify from each flight for Day 2, which is scheduled for July 11 at 4 p.m.
David Lappin’s first bullet was an unfortunately short spell at the felt, and he kindly recounted the story of his exit to poker.pro.
Lappin defended 7♠4♠ in the big blind and flopped a flush draw on A♥9♠5♠, and led with a bet of 3,500 three way. After the opener folded, the small blind check-raised to 11,000, and Lappin put her to the test for her 22,000 total stack.
A quick call didn’t look good for Lappin, and he was in bad shape up against A♠2♠. The runout were bricks, and Lappin was left with 31,000.
He got it in a couple of hands later four-bet jamming ace-queen from the button versus the small blind, and was up against pocket tens, with the Irishman again receiving no help from the runout.
Not to be deterred, Lappin is straight back into the action.

Two other side events are also on the menu this evening, with the £60 Tennessee Hold’Em London Championship at 7 p.m. and the £60 poker.pro Crazy Pineapple Bounty at 10 p.m.
In the first, players receive a 20,000 starting stack, with the clock set to 15-minute levels, and late registration is open until the start of Level 9.
In the latter, £25 of the buy-in is apportioned as a bounty, and players again receive a 20,000 starting stack. The clock is set to 10-minute levels, and late registration remains open until the start of Level 10.

Day 1a of the £20,000 guaranteed, £250 buy-in PLO Masters kicked off at 5 p.m., and is the first of three starting flights.
Players will sit down to a 50,000 starting stack with the clock set to 30-minute levels, each of which will be ante free, and late registration is open until the start of Level 10.
A total of 15% of the field in each Day 1 will qualify for Day 2, scheduled for July 12 at 3 p.m., with the other flights at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. on July 11, the final flight featuring 20-minute levels.
With 13,600 in the middle on a board of Q♦8♦3♦, Kartik check-called in the face of a bet of 4,000 from Sebastian Constable.
The same pattern followed on the 6♠ turn, this time in respect of a bet of 9,500 from Constable.
Constable checked back the 2♣ river, and the floor had to be called as to who should show first. It was Kartik, and he tabled Q♠J♥ for top pair, forcing Constable to muck.
Vitalie Grecul was counting out a bill of 37,400 to Conor O’Driscoll while looking slightly stunned, and the cause was a nut versus second nuts cooler.
There was around 42,000 in the middle, and the board read J♦6♣2♥10♣8♣, with A♣7♣ in front of O’Driscoll and K♣2♣ beside Grecul.
“Nice hand” acknowledged Grecul, after his debt had been settled.
David Lappin has just jumped in, and opened under the gun to 1,600.
He received a call from Kevin Marney, and while the A♦Q♠J♣ flop looked spicy, it was checked to the 8♣ turn.
There was no action there either, and the 7♥ hit on the river to complete the board. Lappin quickly check-called a bet of 3,000 from Marney, and his J♦7♦ for the rivered two pair was good versus Marney’s Q♥10♦.
Jitin Dhawan opened to 1,400 under the gun, and received calls from Dimitar Dimitrov in the hijack, Tai Tran on the button, and Robert Patrascu in the big blind.
The K♠7♣6♣ flop was checked to the 4♦ turn, where action was checked to Tran. He fired out a bet of 3,000, and Patrascu called, before Dhawan produced a check-raise to 10,000.
The move caused consternation from his opponents, and after a spell of thought from each individual, all three ended up sending their hands to the muck.

A pot of 21,000 had brewed by the turn on a board of 10♠8♥6♠7♠, in a hand between Getnet Kassa in the big blind, Mohammed Kapadia in middle position, and K.A. on the button.
Action was checked to K.A., who fired out a bet of 11,500, which only Kassa called.
The 4♥ river was checked through, and Kassa’s 8♦7♥ for the flopped straight was good versus K.A.’s Q♠10♣ for top pair.
A chunky pot of 12,400 had brewed by the turn on a board of A♦7♥4♥Q♠, in a hand between inaugural PartyPoker Tour London champion Getnet Kassa on the button, and Ioan Deac in the small blind.
Deac check-called a bet of 11,000 from Kassa to see the 2♣ river, where he took an age before checking.
Kassa also took some time before knuckling his option, and Deac grimaced as he tabled 7♣7♦ for a set of sevens, Kassa not falling into his trap with Q♥6♥.
The PartyPoker Tour has crowned its latest cohort of side event champions at its London (Summer Edition) stop over the last couple of days, with Lewis Henderson setting a record of five wins on the tour with victory in the £100 NLH event.
